Our crew will be trying to get some well deserved rest having just returned from an industrial unit fire in Harwich, our crew were mobilised just after 3.30 this morning at the "Make pumps 6" request and worked alongside crews from across the county through the night and into the morning.

You can help! While it has cooled of a bit, we're still urging people not to have unessaccery fires please DO NOT.

🔥Have garden fires.
🍖Use disposable bbq's
🚮Leave litter especially glass lying around
🎆Use fireworks or Chinese lanterns
🔥Use firepits or chimneas

9 new recruits. 7 stations. 1 very exciting new chapter. 🚒

Meet Alfie, Mason, Brad, Max, Lewis, Laurence, Rhys, Ethan and Josh - Essex’s newest firefighters! 👋

After completing their intensive basic training course in Witham, they’re officially beginning the next chapter of their firefighting journey.

They’ll now head to their home stations at Frinton Fire Station , Canvey Island Fire Station, Billericay Fire Station, Saffron Walden Fire Station, Shoeburyness Fire Station , Braintree Fire Station and West Mersea Fire Station, where they’ll continue training alongside their crews and getting ready to respond to incidents across Essex.

As on-call firefighters, they live or work within around five minutes of their station, balancing the role with their everyday jobs and lives - but when that pager goes off, they’re ready to answer the call. 📟🚒

We know your probably bored hearing it but we'll persist! We know weekend is upon us and you all want to make the most of the weather but please please don't have a bonfire. In these conditions a small fire can escalate very quickly, these fires can easily spread through gardens, outbuilding, fields and your house! Please don't take the risk. This weekend please
🔥 don't have bonfires
🍖if you're having a bbq place it in a safe spot away from anything flammable and dispose of the ashes responsibly
🎆 no fireworks of Chinese lanterns
🚬 please fully extinuish and dispose of your butt's responsibly

Coggeshall firefighter have racked up the Miles this week, responding to a number of varying incidents across the county, yesterday our crew supported colleagues across the border at a Major incident in Suffolk, earlier in the week we attended a ship fire in Tilury we have also responded to a large industrial fire and numerous fires in the open.
Our station is crewed by on call firefighter, on call firefighters are not based on station, we live or work in or around Coggeshall and respond to a pager when a call comes in. Coggeshall fire station are currently seeking 1 or 2 new firefighters to join our crew. This is a paid role.
