☀️ Summer Holiday Swimming Crash Courses at Coggeshall Community Swimming Pool🏊‍♀️

Looking to build your child’s confidence in the water this summer? Our popular intensive swimming crash courses are back!

📅 Week 1: Monday 27th July – Friday 31st July
📅 Week 2: Monday 17th August – Friday 21st August

Children will enjoy:
✅ One 30-minute lesson every morning for 5 consecutive days
✅ Faster progress through regular daily practice
✅ Improved confidence, technique and water safety skills
✅ Small-group learning in a fun and supportive environment

Open to all children aged 4+ — your child does not need to already swim with us to join!

Spaces are limited and these courses fill quickly each year, so register your interest now via the link in the comments 👇

📧 We will acknowledge receipt and confirm your space as soon as possible via email.
⏰ Lesson times will be allocated closer to the course dates to ensure children are grouped by ability.
💳 Once a place and time slot are offered, payment will be required within 7 days to secure the booking.

It looks like lots of people are going to be enjoying a swim at Coggeshall Community Swimming Pool this week! Thanks to everyone who has booked so far, we hope you enjoy your swim.

A few of our sessions are fully booked, but there is still a little availability left for most types of sessions:

Tue - Relaxed/SEND Friendly Session at 12.45pm has 5 spaces
Tue - Adult Swim at 7.15pm has 1 space, 8.15pm ALL 6 spaces

Wed - Baby/Toddler Session at 10am has 10 spaces

Thur - Private Hires at 11am and 12pm are still available
Thur - Adult Swim at 7.15pm has 5 spaces, 8.15pm ALL 6 spaces

Fri - Relaxed/SEND Friendly Session at 11.30am has 5 spaces
Fri - Baby/Toddler Session at 2pm has 3 spaces

Sat - Private Hire at 12pm still available

Sun - Family Fun Session at 12pm has all 25 spaces remaining
Sun - General Swim at 1pm has all 25 spaces remaining
Sun - Private Hire at 5pm is still available

As you go out this summer remember this from STA if you get caught in a Rip Current:

1. Stay calm 🧘
2. Call for help, raising your hand 🙋
3. If you can stand, wade don’t swim🚶
4. If you can’t stand, swim parallel to the shore, don’t try to swim against it 🏊‍♀️
5. When free of the rip current, swim to shore 🏖️

Day 7, the final day of International Learn to Swim Week - today's theme is - Open Water

General Swim is our most flexible session, yet it is rarely booked!

It's open to absolutely everyone:
👩‍🦰Swim on your own
👫Swim with your partner
🧔‍♂️👱Swim with a friend
👪Swim as a family
👱🏻‍♀️👩🏻‍🦰👩🏻👧🏽👧🏾Swim in a group
𐦂𖨆𐀪𖠋 Swim with strangers - make new friends

The session is unstructured:
❌No lanes marked out
❌Not full of toys and floats

Enjoy the lovely warm water your way:
🙆Get some gentle exercise
🚶‍♀️Walk and stretch
🏊🏼‍♀️Try out a new stroke/style
🛟Practice water safety skills like treading water and floating
🏊Swim short distances without pressure
🤿 Practice skills for the summer

General Swim every other Sunday at 1pm - a great opportunity to book what is generally a quiet calm session at the pool to swim your way.
