We are at the Leaf Hub on Priory Walk in the City Centre again today, ready to help with any final Christmas Shopping deliveries and we have 2 delivery runs booked in and planned across the City already.
We’ll be finishing today by 3pm and then will be having a couple of days rest and will back out in action action on the 27th.
You can still go on line to check out our delivery areas and to book and pay for post-Christmas pick ups and deliveries.
We are a pleased to have made it through such a busy Christmas period and grateful to have everyone who has trusted us to deliver their important Christmas goodies, especially those who have used us for the first time.
Exciting to land for 2023 as the Colchester continues apace!

Thinking about other opportunities to walk, cycle or even take the bus in Colchester City Centre, are you aware of the Colchester Ecargo Bike Christmas shopping delivery service? As well as their regular pick up and drop off, courier/delivery service, every day next week, if you are shopping in town and need help to get your bags, boxes and parcels back home, you can take it down to their pop-up delivery hub on Priory Walk, drop it off and have it booked in for home delivery, or delivery to anywhere across Colchester, at a time to suit. So you can stay in town and have a drink and a bite to eat, minus your shopping, or go to the cinema or the theatre or just do more shopping, and then walk, cycle or take the bus home!
And even if you do feel you have to drive, you could still park slightly out of town at Napier Rd car park, walk into the city centre, and then have the ECargo Bike delivery service take your shopping to your car!
The delivery service starts at just £3.50, and of course is a green, clean, eco-friendly alternative to car and van use, no co2 emissions, so better for the environment, and good for reducing congestion on the roads too!

The map is out in circulation and the ‘woven wheels’ and bunting are up, now all you need to do is get your hands on a ‘Treasure Trail’ map, follow it, use the clues, complete the tasks, and then show is, and you could be in with a chance to catch in a bike!!

That was a grrreeeaaaat day!
Did you come to the FREE Dr Bike session and Community Bunting workshop at St Margaret’s this morning, or were your youngsters at Youth Club this evening, where the Wheel Weaving workshop was very much enjoyed!

Summer holidays are almost here, time to get cycling!

In addition to our regular ‘get your bike fixed’ FREE Dr Bike sessions, we are planning a fun cycling/walking event along the route from Monkwick Avenue to the town centre on Sat 30th July and in preparation we are running some interactive creative workshops for everyone!

- Community Bunting -
At St Margaret’s Community Cafe - 15th & 29th July, 11am - 1pm.
Join in making bunting from recycled materials and decorate them with fabric pens and stitching, we’ll us the bunting to help highlight the walking/cycling route into town, to help us all ‘Get Monkwick Moving'

- Weaving with wheels -
At Monkwick Youth Club - 15th & 22nd July, 6pm - 7pm.
Join in a weaving workshop using recycled materials and bicycle wheels to create woven decoration to help us highlight the start of the walking/cycling route at Monkwick Avenue!

And then at the Monkwick schools!
If you have a child/children at Monkwick Infants or the TLA we’ll also be running FREE Dr Bike sessions at those schools on Weds 20th and Thurs 21st - so even more opportunities to get those bicycles out of the shed or garage and get them ready for a summer of cycling fun!

We are at the St Margaret’s Community Cafe this morning, along with Essex Free School Uniform Colchester Foodbank and others - all here to help and support you.

We are keen to help you get back on your bike and cycling to and from the town centre and all around the area, we are keen to make sure your bike is safe and working well!

You can bring your bike, or your kids’ bike, along to us and we’ll give them a ***FREE*** health check, and carry out minor repairs.

This FREE service covers:
🪛 Brakes.
⚙️ Gears.
🧰 Cables.
⛓ Chains.
🛞 Punctures/inner tubes.
🔩 Nuts and bolts.

We’ll check over your bikes, do minor repairs and make sure everything is working as it needs to, or point you in the right direction if more of a fix is needed.

We’ll look at any bike, regardless of age or condition!
