A small symbol with an important message. 🌈

Our Executive Team are wearing LGBTQ+ lanyards as a visible show of support for LGBTQIA+ residents, colleagues and communities.

We believe everyone should feel safe, respected and able to be themselves — at work, at home and in their neighbourhood.

We’re proud to support the LGBTQ+ Housing Pledge and continue working to make sure our services are welcoming, inclusive and responsive to the people who need them.

Because everyone deserves to feel seen, valued and at home. 💛

Staying safe and keeping control this World Cup season

Passion is part of the game. Control is part of you.

Major football tournaments bring intense emotions, but how we react is up to us. If you feel your frustration or anger rising, don't let it spill over at home.

Pause before you react.
Think about the impact of your actions.
Take responsibility for your choices.

As we cheer on our teams this World Cup, emotions will run high. CBH is committed to keeping all our residents safe. If the pressure of the tournament is making you struggle with your emotions, please pause and choose a safer path. Support is available if you or someone you know needs help managing their behaviour or staying safe. If you are worried about yourself or a neighbour, early intervention saves lives.

For those at risk / neighbours looking to report:

👀 Want to help improve where you live and have a say?

If you live in a block of flats or a sheltered scheme, we’re looking for residents to become Quality Assurance Advisors (QAAs) - a simple, flexible way to get involved and help make your building an even better place to live 😊

As a QAA, you’ll help keep an eye on cleaning and maintenance in your block and surrounding areas. Every three months, you’ll complete a short inspection form and join us for a friendly face-to-face catch-up to share feedback and ideas.

It takes around 45 minutes every three months — a small commitment that can make a real difference 👍

Interested? Send us a quick DM with your email address and we’ll be in touch 😀

Our next meeting is 10:30-12:00 on 22 Jun.

Pride Month is a chance to celebrate, reflect and show our support for LGBTQIA+ residents, colleagues and communities. 🌈 We believe everyone should feel safe, respected and able to be themselves at home and in their neighbourhood.

We’re proud to have signed up to the LGBTQ+ Housing Pledge, helping us continue building services that are welcoming, inclusive and responsive to LGBTQIA+ residents.

We’re also looking forward to supporting local Pride activity, including a banner-making workshop at The Dragonfly Lounge, the LGBTQ+ Summer Picnic in the Park with Colchester Pride, and a stall at Colchester Pride on 15 August. 🙌

We’ll also be celebrating with colleagues at our Staff Pride Celebration on 11 June, featuring drag bingo. 🎉

We’re proud to stand with our LGBTQIA+ residents, colleagues and wider community — and to help create homes and communities where everyone feels they belong.
