πŸ’› Nine weeks of showing up for yourselves. Nine areas of the body explored. Nine emotional roots uncovered. Nine affirmations to carry with you every day.

Louise Hay always said that the body is a mirror of the mind. Every single week you have been brave enough to look in that mirror β€” and that takes real courage.

If any of these weeks stopped you in your tracks β€” if any of these affirmations are still sitting with you β€” drop the week number in the comments below. I would love to know which one touched you most deeply. πŸ‘‡

And if this series has helped you in any way β€” please share this post. You never know whose body is trying to tell them something today. πŸ’›πŸŒΈ

Two weeks left β€” let's finish this healing journey together.

πŸ“… Friday 4th September β€” The Story

πŸ’› I want to share something with you today that still makes me smile when I think about it.

For nine years I stayed in the same job.

Nine years.

And for a good few of those years I knew β€” deep down, quietly, undeniably β€” that I had outgrown it. That it was time to move on. That there was something more waiting for me somewhere.
But I stayed. Because it was familiar. Because change felt frightening. Because what if the next thing was worse? What if I made the wrong move? What if I failed?

So I kept showing up. Kept telling myself it was fine. Kept making myself smaller to fit into something that no longer fit me.

And then one day β€” something shifted inside me. Not dramatically. Not with a grand announcement. I just quietly decided in my own mind and heart that I was ready to let go. I was ready to move forward. I released it β€” not with anger or bitterness but with genuine peace and trust.

I did not send out applications. I did not frantically search job boards. I simply made the decision internally and let it go.
And then β€” completely out of nowhere β€” they found me. Through LinkedIn. A company I had not approached, had not even thought about, reached out to me.
The salary was triple what I had been earning.
Triple.
Nine years of staying stuck out of fear β€” and the moment I released that fear and trusted life to move me forward β€” life moved me forward in ways I could never have planned or engineered myself.

Louise Hay was right. Our hips carry our resistance to moving forward. And the moment we release that resistance β€” life rushes in to meet us. πŸ’›

So if you are reading this today and there is something you have been putting off β€” a retirement decision, a new home, a career change, a relationship, a dream you keep almost reaching for and then pulling back from β€”
I want you to try something today.
Something simple but powerful.
Get a piece of paper. Write it down.
Whatever it is that you have been carrying in your chest, in your hips, in the back of your mind.
Write it down and then put the paper somewhere safe.
You have taken it out of your body and put it somewhere outside of you. You have told the universe what you are ready for. And now β€” trust. πŸ’›

You do not have to make a giant leap. You do not have to have it all figured out. Louise Hay always said that small steps β€” even just small steps in your thoughts and in your mind β€” are enough to begin the movement.
A small shift in your thinking today can become a triple salary tomorrow. I am living proof of that. 🌸

✨ "I am balanced and free. I move forward in life with ease, joy and confidence. Life supports every step I take."

Is there something you have been putting off? Write it in the comments or write it on your paper today β€” and let your hips go free. πŸ‘‡

πŸ“… Wednesday 2nd September β€” The Reflection

πŸ’› A question for you today that I want you to really sit with...
What decision have you been avoiding?
Not the small ones β€” what to have for dinner, which route to take to work. I mean the big one. The one that has been sitting quietly at the back of your mind for weeks, months, maybe even years.
The one you think about in the quiet moments and then quickly push away because it feels too big, too scary, too final.
Because here is what Louise Hay understood about indecision β€” and it is something I have had to learn myself the hard way.

Avoiding a decision is itself a decision. Every day we choose not to move forward β€” we are choosing to stay stuck. And staying stuck has a cost. It lives in our bodies. It lives in our hips.
The fear underneath most indecision is usually one of two things.

Fear of getting it wrong. Or fear of what moving forward might mean β€” what we might have to leave behind, who we might have to disappoint, who we might have to become.
But Louise Hay always reminded us β€” life is always moving. Always flowing. Always taking us somewhere. The question is whether we move with it consciously or whether we get dragged along reluctantly.
Sit with these today:

🌿 What is the decision you have been putting off that your soul already knows the answer to?
🌿 What are you most afraid will happen if you move forward?
🌿 What has staying where you are already cost you?
And then breathe and say:

✨ "I trust myself to make the right decisions. I move forward with courage and with faith. Life always takes me exactly where I need to go."

πŸ’› Drop a 🌿 below if something in this landed for you today.

Week 10 β€” Hip Pain

Theme: Fear of Moving Forward & Resistance to Decisions
πŸ“… 31st August β€” The Teaching

πŸ’› Week 10 β€” we are nearly at the end of our healing journey together and this one feels so timely.
This week we are talking about hip pain β€” and what Louise Hay believed was really behind it.
The hips are literally what carry us forward in life. They are the joints that propel us β€” that give us the power and the balance to move from where we are to where we are going.
So it will probably not surprise you to learn that Louise Hay believed hip pain carries the energy of fear of moving forward. A reluctance to make decisions. A resistance to stepping into the next chapter of our lives.
When we are stuck. When we cannot decide. When we know deep down that life is calling us forward but something in us is planting its feet and refusing to move β€” our hips can begin to reflect that resistance back to us.
And I think so many of us will recognise this.
That decision you have been putting off for months.
That next step you can see clearly but cannot quite bring yourself to take.
That chapter you know needs to end before the new one can begin.
That version of yourself that is ready to emerge β€” if only you would stop standing in your own way.
Ask yourself honestly today:
πŸ”Έ Is there a decision in your life you have been avoiding making?
πŸ”Έ Are you clinging to a situation that you know in your heart you have outgrown?
πŸ”Έ Does the future feel more frightening than exciting right now?
πŸ”Έ Are you waiting for a sign, a guarantee, a certainty that never quite comes?
πŸ”Έ Is fear of getting it wrong keeping you exactly where you are?
Your hips are not failing you. They are asking you to move. πŸ’›
Begin today with this affirmation:

✨ "I am balanced and free. I move forward in life with ease, joy and confidence. Life supports every step I take."

Stand up if you can. Feel your feet on the ground. Gently sway your hips side to side β€” just a little β€” and feel the freedom in that movement. And say the affirmation three times like you truly believe it. 🌸

πŸ“… Sunday 30th August β€” The Closing Affirmation

πŸ’› Your Sunday affirmation to close Week 9...

This week we talked about sight. About clarity. About the courage it takes to look at our lives β€” and ourselves β€” with honest, loving, open eyes.
That is not easy work. And you did it anyway. πŸ’›

Before this week closes I want you to do something simple but powerful.
Find a mirror. Stand in front of it.
And this time β€” really look at yourself.
Not at what needs fixing. Not at what you wish were different.
Just look. With curiosity. With gentleness. With the kind of eyes you would use to look at someone you love completely.

Take three slow breaths.
And then say this β€” directly to your own reflection:
✨ "I see you.
I really see you.
And what I see is someone who has been through so much.
Someone who has kept going even when it was hard.
Someone who is braver than they know.
I see with clear eyes and an open heart.
I am willing to see the truth of my life.
And what I see β€” is enough.
What I see β€” is beautiful.
And all is well in my world."

Nine weeks, my wonderful community.

Nine weeks of healing, of honesty, of showing up for yourselves in ways that matter more than you know.
I am so honoured to walk this with you. πŸ’›πŸŒΈ

πŸ“… Friday 29th August β€” The Story

πŸ’› **I want to share something with you today that I have never really talked about publicly before.**

Eighteen years ago I was working in a busy consultancy firm. Lots of travel, lots of pressure, lots of constantly being on the go. Life was full and fast and I barely had time to breathe.

And then one day β€” my vision in one eye began to go.

Not gradually. Quite suddenly. And within a short time I had gone nearly blind in that eye.

The doctors were honest with me β€” they said I may or may not get my vision back. There were no guarantees. No certainty. Just a wait and see that felt absolutely terrifying.

I didn't know Louise Hay back then. I hadn't discovered her teachings yet. But what I did have β€” and I believe now that this was everything β€” was a deep, quiet, positive willingness to see the future.

Not a forced positivity. Not pretending everything was fine. But a genuine inner belief that I would be okay. That my sight would return. That life was not done with me yet.

And slowly β€” it came back.

Not perfectly. I was left with a small loss of vision β€” just 0.25 in that eye. But 99% of my sight returned. And I have never taken it for granted since.

When I discovered Louise Hay's teaching years later β€” that our eyes reflect our willingness to see clearly, to look honestly at our lives, to face the future with openness rather than fear β€” I understood something about that experience that I hadn't before.

Even without knowing her work, something in me had chosen to see. Chosen to believe. Chosen to stay open to the future rather than shut down in fear.

And I believe that willingness β€” that choice β€” was part of what brought my vision back. πŸ’›

Louise Hay always said that the mind and the body are always in conversation. My eye was speaking to me during one of the most pressured and overwhelming periods of my life. And when I chose β€” consciously or not β€” to trust and to stay open β€” my body responded.

Whatever you are facing today β€” in your eyes, in your body, in your life β€” I want you to know that your willingness to heal is the most powerful medicine there is.

✨ *"I see clearly. I see with love and joy. I am willing to see the truth of my life and it sets me free."*

Say it today. Say it like you mean it. πŸ’›

πŸ“… Wednesday 26th August β€” The Reflection

πŸ’› Something to sit with gently today...

Louise Hay talked about how the eyes are so deeply connected to our willingness to be present in our own lives.
And I have been thinking about that a lot this week.
Because I think most of us β€” at some point β€” have chosen not to see something clearly. Not because we are weak or foolish. But because the truth of it felt like more than we could bear to look at.

Maybe it was a relationship where the signs were there for a long time but you loved that person so much that looking clearly felt too painful.

Maybe it was a pattern in yourself β€” a way of behaving or thinking β€” that you knew was not serving you but changing it felt impossible.

Maybe it was your own worth. Your own beauty. Your own extraordinary capacity for joy and love β€” and something in you just could not look at that directly without shying away.

Louise Hay always said that what we are most afraid to see about ourselves is usually where our greatest healing lives.

Today sit with these:
🌿 What have you been choosing not to look at clearly in your life right now?
🌿 If you could see your life with completely fresh eyes β€” what would you notice first?
🌿 What is one truth about yourself that you are ready β€” finally β€” to see with love rather than judgement?
Just sit with them. No pressure to have answers.
Just be willing to look. πŸ’›

And then breathe and say:

✨ "I am willing to see. I am willing to know the truth. And I trust that whatever I see β€” I can handle it with grace and with love."

πŸ’› Drop a πŸ’š below if something in this touched you today.

Week 9 β€” Eye Problems

Theme: Not Wanting to See the Truth
πŸ“… Monday 25th August β€” The Teaching

πŸ’› Week 9 β€” and this one stopped me completely when I first discovered it.
This week we are exploring eye problems β€” and what Louise Hay believed was really behind them.
Now I want to be clear β€” not every eye condition has an emotional root. Some things are purely physical and please always see your doctor.

But Louise Hay believed that for many of us, problems with our eyes carry a very particular energy.
The energy of not wanting to see.
Not wanting to see the truth about a situation.
Not wanting to see what is really happening in a relationship.
Not wanting to look clearly at something in our own lives that we have been avoiding.
Not wanting to see who we really are β€” or who someone else really is.

Think about how we speak about vision in everyday life.
"I just couldn't see it."
"I had my eyes closed to what was happening."
"I didn't want to look at it."
"I couldn't face seeing the truth."

Louise Hay believed our eyes reflect our willingness β€” or our reluctance β€” to clearly see our own lives.
Ask yourself honestly today:
πŸ”Έ Is there a truth about your life you have been avoiding looking at?
πŸ”Έ Is there a person in your life you have been seeing through the eyes of who you wish they were rather than who they are?
πŸ”Έ Is there something about yourself β€” your worth, your patterns, your potential β€” that you find hard to look at directly?
πŸ”Έ Are you living in the past or the future rather than clearly seeing the present moment?
Your eyes are not failing you. They are asking you to look. πŸ’›

Begin today with this affirmation:
✨ "I see clearly. I see with love and joy. I am willing to see the truth of my life and it sets me free."

Close your eyes for a moment. Take a slow breath. And when you open them β€” really look. At the room around you. At the life you have built. At the beautiful, imperfect, real truth of who you are.

Say the affirmation three times with your eyes open β€” looking at yourself if you can. 🌸

Has there ever been something in your life you didn't want to see clearly? Drop a πŸ‘οΈ below if this resonates with you today. πŸ‘‡

πŸ“… Sunday 23rd August β€” The Closing Affirmation
πŸ’› Your Sunday affirmation to close Week 8...
This week we talked about something that I think touched a lot of hearts in our community.
The weight we carry. The responsibilities we take on. The burdens that are not ours but that we hold anyway β€” out of love, out of habit, out of fear.
And I hope that this week gave you even one moment of permission to put something down.
Before this week ends I want you to do something physical β€” because this one deserves to be felt in the body.
Stand somewhere comfortable. Take a slow deep breath in β€” and as you breathe in, gently raise your shoulders up toward your ears, tensing them, feeling all that weight and responsibility gather there.
Hold it for just a moment.
And then β€” as you breathe out β€” let your shoulders drop completely. Let everything go with that breath. Feel the release all the way down your arms, across your back, through your whole body.
Do that three times.
And then say this β€” slowly, like a promise to yourself:
✨ "I put down what is not mine to carry.
I trust life to support the people I love.
I trust life to support me.
I am allowed to rest.
I am allowed to receive.
I am allowed to be taken care of.
My shoulders are free.
My heart is light.
And all is well in my world."
Eight weeks, my beautiful community. Eight weeks of showing up for yourselves. Eight weeks of choosing healing over hiding.
I am so proud of every single one of you. πŸ’›πŸŒΈ

πŸ“… Friday 21st August β€” The Story
πŸ’› This one is really personal and might resonate with many of you.

For most of my adult life I was the person who held everything together.
In my family. In my friendships. In every situation I found myself in β€” I was the one who sorted things out, showed up, took responsibility, made sure everything was okay for everyone else.
And I wore it like a badge of honour if I am honest. Being dependable. Being capable. Being the strong one. The obedient one! The YES person.

What I didn't see β€” what I couldn't see for a long time β€” was how much it was costing me.
My shoulders were permanently hunched. Permanently tense. I would wake up in the morning already exhausted before the day had even started because I had spent the night worrying about everyone else in my sleep.
I didn't know how to stop. I didn't even know I was allowed to stop.
What Louise Hay's teaching on shoulders says that they carry our burdens, our over-responsibility, our belief that everything will fall apart if we let go β€” and I sat with that for a long time.
Because the truth was β€” I didn't trust life to support the people I loved without my help. I thought if I stopped holding everything together it would all collapse.
And Louise Hay asked a question that changed something in me forever:

"What are you afraid will happen if you put it down?"

I realised I was afraid that without my worry β€” without my carrying β€” somehow the people I loved would not be okay.
And that was never true. It was never my worry keeping them safe. It was just my worry keeping me exhausted.
I started practising putting things down. One thing at a time. One worry at a time. One responsibility at a time that wasn't mine.
And my shoulders β€” slowly, beautifully β€” began to drop. πŸ’›
It cannot be done overnight and it will take but if you give time to it.

Are you the strong one in your family or circle of friends? How is that weight feeling today? Share below lovelies 🌸
