Were you a cadet? Are you aged 18–23? We want to hear from you.

The Cadet Alumni Network (CAN) is being developed to explore how we can keep people connected with the cadet community after they leave.

The ambition is to create a lifelong alumni network that could connect former cadets with opportunities in education, employment, mentoring, skills development and volunteering, while creating ways for alumni to stay connected and give back.

But before CAN is built, we want former cadets to help shape it.

We are looking for former cadets aged 18–23 to take part in our Northern Ireland consultation.

You can help by:

Tell us about your cadet experience and what you think a future alumni network should offer.

✓ Potentially joining a workshop

We are planning face-to-face workshops in the Belfast and Newtownabbey areas to hear directly from former cadets. Dates and venues are still to be confirmed.

Huge congratulations to the NI Wing members of the Regional 2026 Nijmegen 4 Days March. Special mention goes to Cadet Warrant Officer Eirean Hickey from 2350 Squadron. The 100 mile March is a culmination of hard work and dedication from both Staff and Cadets who train throughout the year, clocking up the miles to achieve Blue, Bronze, Silver and now Gold Road Marching Awards.

Condolences to The Knox Family following the passing of Reverend Knox. Reverend Knox visited the Squadron in Coleraine many times, and was a great supporter and advocate for the Air Cadet Organisation.

KNOX – 2nd May 2026, peacefully at Hospital. Rev Robert Alan Knox BEM, late of Killyvalley Road, Garvagh. Dearly loved husband of Isobel and much loved father of Ruth, Heather, Sharon, Peter-John and Christopher, dearly loved brother of Brian and Rosemary, and a much loved grandfather and uncle. House Strictly Private. Service of Thanksgiving in First Garvagh Presbyterian Church on Thursday 7th May 2026 at 2 p.m., preceded by a private family committal. Family flowers only, please.
