We’ve had a great two days at the Visit Scotland Expo showcasing Scotland’s fantastic long distance trail routes such as the Great Glen Way and the Loch Lomond and Cowal Way to a whole host of international representatives.

On Wednesday we hosted a walk for EasyWays tour operator and some of their guests. This was a thank you, to EasyWays for generously contributing to our recent Crowdfunding campaign. Thanks also to local businesses Portavadie, Balliemeanoch Baggage, Dunans Castle and The Little Kitchen for contributing too. And also to Staff and Trustees of CGDT, and other kind-hearted individuals, for their generosity. We salute you all!

With 72 pages of facts, path information, visitor attractions, images and maps, this is an excellent publication. To celebrate we are going to give a free copy away randomly. We would like to thank the Coastal Communities Fund (CCF) for their fantastic support for the past four years. The CCF has provided the majority of our funding for all our path infrastructure improvements, waymarking & signage, product development, and promotion. Botanica@theBarn. Run by lovely couple Michael & Leoma, whose restuarant used to be in the centre of Tighnabruaich, but now at bigger & better premises at Millhouse (between Portavadie & Tighnabruaich). Excellent, local, seasonal produce on the menu. Well worth a stop on your walk.

COMMUNITY:
The Loch Lomond & Cowal Way (LL&CW) is a long distance walking route and one of Scotland’s great trails. It runs for 57 miles from Portavadie to Inveruglas and travels through communities such as Tighnabruaich, Glendaruel, Strachur, Lochgoilhead and Arrochar.
