We have a big announcement for the future of Caol Ruadh.

For the first time, we're opening our doors to aspiring artists to stay at Caol Ruadh itself while learning a craft at one of our workshops.

This October, we'll be hosting a residential workshop teaching Stained Glass-making with Amanda Farquhar-Scott, an award-winning artist and instructor.

By day, you'll be learning intricate glasswork, and by night you can enjoy the majesty of the Argyll coast from the comfort of your private room in Caol Ruadh House with meals cooked by our in-house chef Kate Gray.

The residency will run from Sunday 19th October - Saturday 25th October (5 days and 6 nights).

Price: £2100 per person

We still have places open for our Raku workshops with Bill Williamson, including one this weekend(!), so get in touch to secure your place.

The courses are one-day workshops (10:00am-4:30pm) and will be
held on Sundays 5th July, and 9th
August. Each workshop is £150.

Two pots per person will be provided and all materials for decorating them are included.

We’re proud to be hosting a new series of Raku workshops at Caol Ruadh Sculpture Park over the summer.
The instructor will be experienced sculptor and friend of the Sculpture Park Bill Williamson (), who’ll be showing students how to create the unique cracked finish on clay cups and pots.

The courses are one-day workshops and will be
held on Sundays 5th July, and 9th
August. Each workshop is £150.

Two pots per person will be provided and all materials for decorating them are included.

We regret to announce that we are closed this year as we are doing important renovation work for our gardens, however we will be hosting activities for those interested in sculpture.​

Our Bluebird Studio will be running some one-day workshops, including a raku course with Bill Williamson, so watch out for announcements on this page and on our Instagram ().
