We’re urgently looking for more volunteers to help us continue making a difference...

Without continued community support, the initiative simply cannot continue in its current form. Even giving just one hour a month can lead to huge improvements in keeping Colne clean, cared for, and welcoming for everyone 💚

𝗧𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗦𝗨𝗥𝗘 𝗢𝗨𝗥 𝗧𝗢𝗪𝗡 𝗣𝗢𝗪𝗘𝗥 𝗛𝗢𝗨𝗥 𝗦𝗨𝗖𝗖𝗘𝗦𝗦 💪

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for today's Treasure Our Town litter pick!

We were delighted with the fantastic turnout, and your support really does make a difference. Together, our hard working volunteers collected 12 bags of litter, cleared weeds along the footpath edge and even removed a discarded rocking horse from the area!

During the session, Councillor Sarah Cockburn-Price also identified and reported several issues requiring further attention, including fly tipping, broken glass and an abandoned caravan. She will also be contacting the relevant landowner regarding the overgrown vegetation.

Every litter pick helps make Colne a cleaner, safer and more welcoming place for everyone. Thank you once again to all of our wonderful volunteers for giving up your time to support our community—we couldn't do it without you! 💚

Our next session will take place 𝟱.𝟯𝟬𝗽𝗺-𝟲.𝟯𝟬𝗽𝗺 on 𝗪𝗲𝗱𝗻𝗲𝘀𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝟮𝟲𝘁𝗵 𝗼𝗳 𝗔𝘂𝗴𝘂𝘀𝘁 on 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝘄 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗲𝘁 (meeting point where Shaw Street meets Bridge Street).

From wrestlers and reformers to playwrights and pioneers, discover the people and places that helped shape our community in ways you may never have imagined.
