The Congleton Town Council High Street Awards aim to recognise the retail businesses that have been part of our town for many years. In the case of P & JS Allen - 32 years! It was inspirational chatting to Peter and Jill who have created such a long-term business by being flexible and allowing the business to evolve to meet the needs of the time. Either as a newsagent, a photographer, a picture framer or repro business, Peter and Jill, and Joanne and Anthony follwing in their footsteps, continue to provide fabulous customer service and great quality right in the heart of Congleton. Here's to the next 30 years!!

Very much enjoyed facilitating a session at the constituency summer school run by Sarah Russell MP for young people interested in politics and local government. Fascinating hearing different perspectives on what the Town Council should spend your money on!

Summer Play Days are in full swing and this week we moved into the Town Hall for our sport themed day. Alfie was very pleased to win one of many table football contests during the day! Play days are free to attend and we have 2 more coming up - Tuesdays 11th and 18th of August - join us in the town centre 10.30-2.30.
