Incident 52 of 2026:
01/09/26, 14:37, Claife Heights, SD380979
It was a mild, breezy and cloudy afternoon when Cumbria Police asked us to help a gentleman who had slipped whilst walking on Claife Heights, injuring his ankle.
Two vehicles were deployed from base and two team members went direct. After being assessed, his leg was splinted and the casualty was stretchered to the Land Rovers. He was driven back to his holiday accommodation to make the onward journey to Furness General Hospital with a family member.
13 team members attended this incident which took 3hrs 7mins.
