After the lovely weather we had last week, we decided to bring the beach to our 0-5 Support group this week. 🏖️

The children had such a wonderful time exploring, digging, pouring, and letting their imaginations run free. From tiny scoops to big smiles, it was a joy to see their curiosity and creativity shine. Sensory play like this is not only fun but also so important for development, helping little ones build coordination, confidence, and social skills while they play together. 💛

Thank you to everyone who joined us today. We can’t wait for our next session! 🌈

What a fantastic day we had at Deganwy Prom Day on Saturday, thank you to everyone who stopped to speak to us about local authority fostering. Also, a huge thank you to our foster carer, Sarah, for helping out 🙂💛

A fantastic day today at the Urdd Eisteddfod representing Foster Wales 💜

Taylor and Alex manned the stall alongside our colleagues Lisa from Foster Wales Gwynedd and Jess from Foster Wales Conwy. We had so many lovely conversations throughout the day about fostering, handed out lots of goodies, and met so many families and young people visiting the event.

It was brilliant to see so much interest in fostering and to have the opportunity to talk about the difference local authority foster carers can make for children and young people across Wales 🏡✨

🌟 Foster Care Fortnight 2026 🌟

This week, Foster Wales Conwy was delighted to host a fostering walk in partnership with The Fostering Network for our Local Authority foster carers across North Wales.

It was a lovely morning filled with fresh air, great conversations, and the chance to connect with our incredible fostering community💙

And of course, what better way to finish than with a well-earned brew and a slice of cake ☕🍰

Thank you Sam 💜

At the age of just three, Sam Gardner ate every meal as fast as he could. He had just been placed with his first foster family, after a turbulent start to life with his birth parents, and he didn't know when he'd be able to eat next 😞

What Sam went through in those early years, was horrific. The innocent young boy lived with his parents and three other siblings in a household with domestic violence, crime and drugs.

According to his early care files, young Sam was dirty, had flea bites all over his legs and had thinning hair because he hadn't been washed properly. The poor lad had diarrhoea because he had never eaten fruit and vegetables before, was aggressive, scared and angry, and used to swear all the time - simply because he didn't know it was wrong 😞💔
