⚠️ Storm Goretti ⚠️

Heavy snowfall and strong winds are expected across North Wales, with Yellow warnings in place across most of the region and Amber warnings in parts. Low temperatures, dangerous conditions and travel disruption are likely tonight and into Friday.

Our teams will continue to work around the clock responding to emergencies. You can help us by:
✅ Taking care when heating your home: If using a real fire ensure you use a fireguard and make sure your chimney is clean and keep portable heaters away from curtains and furniture.
✅ Avoiding unnecessary travel: icy roads and fallen trees can make conditions extremely dangerous.
✅ Staying away from frozen bodies of water: Whether you're walking the dog, heading out with family or out at the park, keep well away from frozen lakes, ponds and rivers. Ice is unpredictable and can give way without warning, resulting in injuries and even loss of life.
✅ Preparing for power cuts by charging devices and having torches ready – if you need to use candles, keep them upright, in a suitable holder and never leave unattended.
✅ Checking on neighbours who may need extra support.

Only call 999 in an emergency 🚨

Please continue to monitor updates from Met Office, Traffig Cymru Gogledd a Chanolbarth Traffic Wales North & Mid and your local authority 📲
