Update from Cadent on gasworks on The Pound - Reopening 18th August
Update received to original post;
Good Afternoon Councillors,
As you’re aware, I recently provided you with an update to Cadent's ongoing works on The Pound, Cookham. I’m now able to provide you with a subsequent update so that you may best advise your constituents.
Following a further review of engineering progress and available resources this morning, we were able to identify and supply additional resources for the works. As a result, we're in a position to remove the road closure sooner than initially advised and continue working under multi-way lights, helping to minimise disruption to the transport network.
This means that the road closure on The Pound will be removed on Tuesday 18th August.
The traffic management dates for The Pound have been adjusted to ensure we can continue to carry out these works as safely and efficiently as possible.

ORIGINAL POST FOLLOWS; Hello Cookham; the following communication has been received from Cadent, which I've been asked to share with you;
As part of the government mandated programme to upgrade our ageing gas network, Cadent are currently upgrading the gas pipes along The Pound, Cookham.
As the works have further progressed, I am now able to provide you with an update to our works so that you may best advise your constituents.
Work under a full road closure on The Pound started on 27th July and was expected to be completed by 16th August. However, we have identified additional deviation in the configuration of the existing pipework, resulting in extended excavations and connection work.
This means that works will continue under a road closure on The Pound for another 7 days.
The traffic management dates for The Pound have been adjusted to ensure we can continue to carry out these works as safely and efficiently as possible.
