One thing that everyone should check on their energy bills this month is; wether you are in credit or racking up a debit balance.
You can see from my bill, that I am building up a debit balance. At this time of year, (assuming you have a budget account) you should see your account either reach a zero balance or build a slight debit. Thats because you tend to use more in the winter. Traditionally you would build up a credit in the summer that would then get used in the winter with the higher bills.
I don't mind building a slight debit balance as I know if it starts to get out of hand UW will flag it to me. They are very good at readjusting the dd. They will also pay out credit balances without a fight too. As I am not planning on switching suppliers, (just because I know I am on the best deal) this isnt an issue and will soon get repaid over the first few months of spring. If I was thinking of switching I would want to reduce, if not clear, the balance as they could refuse to let me switch if I have a debt. Imagine how annoying it would be to get a quote, showing you can save money, yet you are blocked from switching, just because you let a debt build up. It has happened to my potential customers a few times, where people want to save money and switch to UW but their supplier refused.
The good news is, that with me on your side, I can work through any issues and ensure the switch goes through as smoothly as possible. What other Utility provider has a me? None! That is what makes us so amazing!
