📢 A quick update about our groups

As we move towards the new Family Hub model, you may notice that our groups and activities look a little different.

Today (Wednesday 2 September), there are no groups running at Pen Green as the Centre is closed for staff training.

This week for Corby families 💛

It’s a slightly different week for groups and services as the new Family Hub network begins to develop in Corby.

The Family Hub team will be welcoming families to two Open Days:

💗 Thursday – Kingswood | 9am–4pm
💗 Friday – Exeter | 9am–1pm

As we move through this period of transition, our weekly timetable may look a little different. We’ll continue to share what’s happening and where each week, so keep an eye on our social media and website for the latest information. 💛

Led by a member of our SEND team, this is a supportive space for families to share experiences while children play in a stimulating and nurturing environment.

💬 Talking Therapies
Available all day | Referral only
Free NHS mental health support for people experiencing difficulties with low mood, stress, anxiety or depression.

We’ve got lots happening for children and families this Wednesday, with groups for babies, little ones and their grown-ups

Here’s what’s on:

👶 Pen Green – Baby Messy Play
For non-walkers | 10:00–11:30am
Come and explore a range of messy play experiences together.

🩷 Pen Green – Milk & You Infant Feeding Support
Little Jimmy’s | 10:00–11:30am
Peer support for parents feeding their baby, in collaboration with Milk & You.

💜 Kingswood – Let’s Play Together
10:00–11:30am | SEND | Referral only
A supportive space for families to share experiences while children play in a stimulating and nurturing environment.

🏖️ Pen Green – Beach Stay & Play
Beach | 1:00–3:00pm
Meet other families and enjoy time playing and exploring together.

🩺 Health Visitor Clinics also run at Pen Green during the morning and afternoon and are by appointment only.

💛 Exciting changes are coming for families in Corby!

We’re really pleased to share the news that from September, the Best Start Family Hub network is expanding into Corby, bringing even more support, services and activities for children, young people and families.

The new Family Hub activity will initially be based at Kingswood Children’s Centre, building on the services already provided by Pen Green, Kingswood, Exeter Children’s Centre and our local partners.

For our families, the important thing to know is that groups and support will continue – and over time there will be even more opportunities to access support and activities through the wider Family Hub network. 💛

📅 A quick note about our group timetables

As we move into this new way of working, you may notice that our usual group timetable looks a little different for a while. We’ll continue to share what’s on each day here on our social media pages and on our website, so please keep checking for the latest information about groups, activities and where they are taking place.

This is an exciting period of transition and we’re looking forward to working with our Family Hub partners to develop an even stronger offer for Corby’s children and families.

🕧 12:45–2:45pm
Meet other families and enjoy playing and exploring together in a safe and stimulating environment.
