Supporting young people to stay safe online

We are pleased to share information about the TARGET Project from Service Six, which supports children and young people aged 8-25 with a range of online safety issues, including:

✅ Online exploitation
✅ Grooming awareness
✅ Social media safety
✅ Healthy and unhealthy relationships
✅ Gaming and online wellbeing
✅ Online safety guidance and support

Service Six offers one-to-one support, group sessions, workshops, assemblies and peer mentoring opportunities to help young people build the knowledge and skills they need to stay safe online.

A PSPO is a power available to local authorities under the Anti-Social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014, enabling councils to impose restrictions within a defined public area to address behaviour that has a detrimental impact on the community.
The proposed PSPO would help address issues including street drinking, anti-social behaviour, begging, substance misuse and other behaviours that can negatively affect residents, businesses and visitors to the town centre.
