The Street Fair is back on Saturday 12 September!

From midday until 4pm, find over 30 stalls across the town centre, with local charities, groups, and organisations offering information and activities. There will be local businesses selling gifts, handcrafted items, and food and drink to eat on the day and to take home.

At Digital Mansion Corsham, there’ll be live music, plus plenty for children; with free craft activities, giant games, face painting and balloon animals. You can also watch performances by Corsham Windband and The Corsham Band at the Chapel Garden outside Co-op.

Alongside all this, the Street Fair takes place during Heritage Open Days, England’s largest festival of history and culture! From 11-20 September, you can take part in free guided walks and tours across Corsham, as well as visiting local heritage sites. You can take a look at the programme on the Heritage Open Days website.

During the Street Fair, The Sealed Knot Society Official Living History Tent will be in the gardens of Corsham Almshouses and Schoolroom. Come along to discover what life was like during the English Civil War, and to dress up in clothes of the time! Learn more about weaponry in a short talk at 1pm, and about clothing at 3pm.

There will be free parking all day in the town’s car parks, as well as free travel on the Faresaver Buses Number 10/10A Corsham Town bus during the day. Why not skip the busy car parks and travel by bus? Check the timetable on the Faresaver website to plan your journey.

Heritage Open Days are back for 2026! From 11-20 September, Corsham is playing its part in this national, FREE festival of history and culture with walks, talks, displays and a very special appearance by The Sealed Knot Society Official's Living History tent at Corsham Almshouses and Schoolroom from 12-4pm on 12 September, which also happens to be the day of the Street Fair! It's your last week to take part in our Pokémon trail!

10 Pokémon are hiding in the windows of Corsham’s shops and businesses. Find them all and fill in the trail sheet with your answers. Then take your completed sheet to Automattic Comics / Corsham Toyshop to get three free Pokémon cards! (The first 100 entries will get a free Fun pack of three cards. All other entries will get three random cards.)

Colour in the back of the sheet and hand it in at the Town Hall to enter our colouring competition. There are two great prizes to win, plus you can collect a sweet treat when you hand in your form.

You can pick up a trail sheet from the Town Hall, Corsham Toyshop or Corsham Tourist Information Centre. Alternatively, you can download it from the link in the comments.

Wiltshire Local Plan consultation to launch in September

Residents, businesses and community groups will have the chance to help shape the future of Wiltshire when the first consultation on the new Wiltshire Local Plan launches in September.

The Local Plan will guide where homes, jobs and infrastructure are provided across the county in the years ahead. It will help ensure that future growth takes place in the right locations and is supported by the services and facilities communities need. It will also focus on the supply of minerals and waste management facilities.

Current Government policy requires Wiltshire to plan for around 3,500 new homes each year, making it important that local people have their say on how the county develops.

Growth is something Wiltshire needs to plan for, and local feedback will help to ensure new development supports communities and brings the right benefits in the right places.

The first stage of public engagement, known as the scoping consultation, will run from 2 to 30 September. A programme of engagement events will take place during the consultation, giving you the opportunity to find out more about Wiltshire Council's Local Plan and share your views:

• Salisbury Market – Tuesday 8 September, 8.30am to 3pm
• Royal Wootton Bassett Library – Wednesday 9 September, 1.30pm to 6.30pm
