Today, we were delighted to attend the official launch of Denbighshire County Council's Families First & Flying Start Family Hub in Corwen, which will be based at Llygadog Clawdd Poncen.

This is fantastic news for local families and the wider community, providing a welcoming space where families can access support, advice, and services all under one roof.

We are excited to see the positive impact the hub will have and look forward to working collaboratively with partners to support families, strengthen communities, and help ensure everyone can access the support they need.

Congratulations to everyone involved in bringing this wonderful initiative to life. We wish the team every success as they begin this exciting new chapter.

Heddiw, roeddem wrth ein bodd i fynychu lansiad swyddogol Canolfan Teuluoedd Cyntaf a Flying Start Cyngor Sir Ddinbych yng Nghorwen, a fydd yn Llygadog Clawdd Poncen.

Mae hyn yn newyddion gwych i deuluoedd lleol a'r gymuned ehangach, gan ddarparu lle croesawgar lle gall teuluoedd gael mynediad at gymorth, cyngor, a gwasanaethau o dan un to.

Last week, our Chief Officer, Sally Lloyd Davies, was delighted to attend the Community Transport Association (CTA) Gala and Awards Evening at the Midland Hotel, Manchester.

Sally was proud to attend not only as a representative of SDCP as a Community Transport Operator, but also in her new role as a CTA UK Trustee.

It was a privilege to celebrate 40 years of the CTA and reflect on the incredible impact of community transport across the UK. Most importantly, it was an opportunity to recognise and celebrate the amazing people who make it all possible – from trustees and staff to the dedicated volunteers, and the communities who support and rely on community transport services every day.

A huge congratulations to the CTA team for organising such a fantastic evening and bringing together so many passionate individuals from across the sector. Here's to the next 40 years of connecting communities and changing lives!

Yr wythnos diwethaf, roedd ein Prif Swyddog, Sally Lloyd Davies, wedi'i mwynhau mynychu Gala a Gwobrau Cymdeithas Trafnidiaeth Gymunedol (CTA) yn y Midland Hotel, Manceinion.

Roedd Sally yn falch o fynychu nid yn unig fel cynrychiolydd SDCP fel Gweithredwr Trafnidiaeth Gymunedol, ond hefyd yn ei rôl newydd fel Ymddiriedolwr CTA UK.

Roedd yn fraint dathlu 40 o flynyddoedd o CTA a myfyrio ar effaith anhygoel trafnidiaeth gymunedol ledled y DU. Yn bwysicaf oll, roedd yn gyfle i gydnabod a dathlu'r bobl anhygoel sy'n gwneud popeth yn bosibl – o'r ymddiriedolwyr a'r staff i'r gwirfoddolwyr ymroddedig, a'r cymunedau sy'n cefnogi ac yn dibynnu ar wasanaethau trafnidiaeth gymunedol bob dydd.

Llongyfarchiadau mawr i dîm CTA am drefnu noson mor arbennig a dod â cymaint o unigolion brwdfrydig at ei gilydd o bob rhan o'r sector. Dyma i'r 40 mlynedd nesaf o gysylltu cymunedau a newid bywydau!

🚂 Cafwyd sesiwn wych ddoe yn ymweld â Rheilffordd Llangollen gyda Sir Ddinbych Yn Gweithio.

Cafodd y mynychwyr gyfle gwych i gwrdd a sgwrsio â staff a gwirfoddolwyr gwybodus y rheilffordd, gan ddysgu mwy am y gwaith anhygoel sy’n digwydd yno a’r cyfleoedd sydd ar gael.

Diolch yn fawr i Reilffordd Llangollen am y croeso cynnes a’r profiad arbennig! 👏

🚂 We had a fantastic visit to Llangollen Railway yesterday with Working Denbighshire.

Attendees had a great opportunity to meet and chat with the railway’s knowledgeable staff and volunteers, learning more about the incredible work taking place there and the opportunities available.

A huge thank you to Llangollen Railway for the warm welcome and wonderful experience! 👏

🚗 Could You Help Make a Difference? 🚗
We are looking for additional volunteer drivers to help keep our Dial-a-Ride service running, supporting local people in getting to vital hospital and medical appointments.
✅ Use our company vehicle
✅ Full training and familiarisation provided
✅ Travel costs and expenses reimbursed
✅ Flexible volunteering – you can cover either the Corwen or Llangollen area, or both
✅ Applicants must be aged 25+ and hold a full UK manual driving licence
Our service operates Monday to Friday, with our furthest journeys being to Wrexham Maelor Hospital.
This valuable service is only possible thanks to the dedication and generosity of our volunteers. If you have some spare time and would like to make a real difference in your community, we'd love to hear from you.
