Looking forward to the weekend and sharing our heritage stories. Can't help but be blown away at having my GGG grandmother's Sept 1824 cash account at my fingertips, knowing she spent £100 (ish) on laundry 200 years ago today (whoa, says the laundry lady!) ..and £80 on Alice's book. So who was Alice and what the book? Doesn't unearthing such teeny details make you want to unearth more? To write a song?

The ancient ash will be on our tour around this coming Fri Sat Sun for Heritage Open Days leaving 11.00 and 13.30 from the CET (meet by the mosaic) I knew it was special 30 years ago but had no idea then how much it would change, and teach us, and continue to amaze.

Reel back to the post before last: they all got planted, and what a reel of real and surreal, late summer so soon, and still yet to see how many survived drought and furnace.
