We are sad to hear of the passing of Donald Rose, our oldest veteran and the oldest WW2 veteran in the UK.

Our deepest condolences are with his family.

Donald served as a sniper with the Queen's Royal Regiment, an antecedent regiment for the PWRR - The Tigers. His regiment fought with the through North Africa, Italy, and Europe.

We have been privileged to have met him on his recent birthdays and he will be greatly missed.

Thank you for everything, Donald ❤️ 🫡

Donald Rose, the UK's oldest surviving World War Two veteran, has sadly died at the age of 110, Erewash Borough Council has confirmed.

A very Happy 110th Birthday to Donald Rose, Desert Rat and Britain's oldest man.

Donald joined the Queen's Royal Regiment, now PWRR - The Tigers, in 1939 and fought with the throughout the North African campaign, Italy, France, Belgium, and into Germany.

Today HQ visited the National Memorial Arboretum to commemorate the battle of Sidi Rezegh that took place from 21 - 23 November 1941. A little known but key battle during Op CRUSADER that saw the breaking of the siege of Tobruk.

This week the gunners from 105 Regiment Royal Artillery were joined by The Royal Scots Dragoon Guards and NorthEast Gunner to fire the Salute to mark the 2nd anniversary of the Accession to the throne of HM The King.

Congratulations to Cpl Meechan from 6 Regiment RLC - awesome achievement 👏👏👏 🏊‍♀️

📢 **Congrats Cpl Meechan**

6 Regt’s Cpl Meechan recently took on the remarkable challenge of a 2 way relay swim of the English Channel.

On 17 July, she completed this challenge alongside 6 other RLC personnel in an incredible 22hrs 16 mins, becoming the only military team to complete this feat in the 21st Century and 1 of only 51 teams to do so since 1875!🏊‍♀️

We are beyond proud of her dedication and achievement.
