Meet Julia!

Julia is the first person to be featured in our 'Footsteps to Freedom' podcast series.

The series will be released throughout this week to celebrate Refugee Week.

In Julia's episode, we hear about how political intimidation caused her to leave her home, how she faced exploitation upon arriving in England and how Coventry has become her home.

We want to say thank you to the Coventry Refugee and Migrant Centre for recording this episode and to Julia for sharing her story with us.

Could you open your home to individuals or families fleeing the war in Ukraine? 🇺🇦 🇬🇧

We're looking for Coventry residents who have at least one spare room available in their home for Ukrainian refugees to stay in.

You will receive £350 a month for hosting, increasing to £500 a month after the first year.

The war in Ukraine isn't over and many people are still suffering, with the hope of finding safety and security abroad. Could you lend a helping hand? 🤝

If you're interested, come and talk to us! We'll be at Methodist Central Hall on Saturday 21 January between 12 noon and 1pm.
