Our National Police Workforce & Wellbeing Survey, delivered in partnership with Leapwise, is now live!

Everyone working in policing is invited to take part, across all ranks, roles and departments.

Let us know, what's working and what needs improving in police wellbeing.

Here's how you can take part:

🔵 If your force is participating, please keep an eye out for information shared by your force on how to complete the survey.

🔵 If your force isn’t participating or promoting it locally, you can still take part independently via the Oscar Kilo website. You’ll just need to create an Oscar Kilo account first — which is super quick and easy.

Find out more and fill in the survey, it just take 10 minutes: https://oscarkilo.org.uk/national-workforce-and-wellbeing-survey-2026

It’s hot out there 🥵 We know sometimes it's not possible but even small, regular sips (a few times every 30–45 minutes) can help you stay hydrated.

All that said – keeping hydrated (and finding time for the loo if you're drinking more) is not always easy during a shift, which is why we’re continuing to work with forces to support more open conversations around hydration and access to breaks.

When their shift was meant to end at midnight, but you wake up alone the next day.

We know it’s tough – for those in the job and those waiting at home.

Our annual National Police Workforce & Wellbeing survey, delivered in partnership with Leapwise, goes live on 1 June.

Each year, the findings help shape our national work and inform wider discussions around police reform. With even more forces taking part this year, we’re expecting the clearest national picture yet of the lived experience of those working in policing.

This makes it a key moment for everyone in policing to have their say and share their unique experiences. So, watch this space for updates.

Verbal and physical abuse is a reality that those working in policing face every day, and the impact is often significant and unseen.

Hate crime and hate-based abuse form a substantial part of this harm.

That’s why, in partnership with the National Police Chiefs' Council Police Race Action Plan, we have now expanded our Operation Hampshire resources to include dedicated guidance for responding to incidents of hate abuse and hate crime.

Through Op Hampshire we’ve been actively changing the culture of policing by providing a structure to ensure that we get the basics right – recognising harm, responding consistently, and supporting our people as they protect the public.
