🏠 Do you know a young person looking for housing support in Coventry?

At Bardsley Youth Project, we know how confusing and overwhelming housing problems can feel — especially if you’re facing homelessness, sofa surfing, or worried about where you’ll live next.

That’s why we’ve created the Young Person’s Hub.

The Young Person’s Hub is our online space where young people in Coventry can:

🏠Find clear information about what homelessness prevention support is available to them
🏠Understand what services we offer at Bardsley Youth Project
🏠See how to access support or refer themselves
It’s designed to be simple, clear, and easy to use — no jargon, no pressure.

👉 Access and share the Young Person’s Hub with someone here: https://buff.ly/8xnYMsx

For us at Bardsey Youth Project support shouldn't feel 'clinical', and young people shouldn't feel like they're on a completely different level from us.

For us , support is about about meeting young people where they're at, and working with them, supporting them to understand what they need to and get to where THEY want to be in life.

Did you know?

Half our current staff base originally trained in youth work. Half our staff base also have lived experience of youth homelessness.

We understand the need for positive, professional, down to earth support when our young people are at their most vulnerable.

For young people, we've made you your own dedicated page explaining the breakdown of our service, and how you can access each on our Young Persons Digital Information Hub: https://www.bardsleyyouth.org/young-person-s-hub

We’re offering a new hands-on opportunity.

Through the city’s Trailblazer programme we’re running a 2-week communications and content-creation placement. Participants will plan content including short-form videos (Reels), film, do basic editing and captioning, and learn about measuring and planning social media campaigns and engagement.

They’ll work on a live brief, build potential portfolio pieces, and get one-to-one mentoring from our comms and fundraising worker, with projects tailored to each person’s interests and goals.

Short-form video and social content are growing fast, so this placement provides experience in a highly relevant area of communications.

To apply, contact the Job Shop and search vacancy “110025 - Communications and content creation project placement” on: https://buff.ly/mc2Zdly. You can also contact the Job Shop directly for more info.

Please share with anyone who’d benefit — we’d love to help more young people take their next step.

Do you know a young person facing homelessness in Coventry? Perhaps they are sofa surfing, staying with different friends and family each night with no permanent or safe place to stay.

Our unique approach offers ongoing support, no matter where they are in their journey.

Unlike many other organisations that work with people for a set period e.g. 6 months, we understand that homelessness is often a result of complex issues. These issues can't be fixed within an arbitrary timeframe.

Young people develop, grow, and learn new ways of doing things over time. That’s why we don’t have a set timeline for our support.

We understand that recovery from homelessness isn’t always a straight path. There are ups and downs. When young people are at a peak, we’re here to celebrate. When they hit a dip, we’re still here to support them. Whether a young person is at a peak or a dip, we’re here for them until their 26th birthday. If they need help understanding a council tax bill or just want to chat. We’re here providing support when they need it most.
