College of Policing We're the body for leadership, standards and performance for police officers and staff in England and Wales.

We’re here to give everyone in policing the tools, skills and knowledge they need to cut crime and protect the public. Our objectives are to:

- set standards of professional practice.
- identify, develop and promote good practice based on evidence.
- support the professional development of those working in policing.
- help police forces and other organisations to work together to protect the public and prevent crime.
- identify, develop and promote ethics, values and standards.

Designed for sergeants and police staff equivalents, our professionalising investigations programme supervisors (PIP 1 Supervisors) combines classroom learning with immersive Hydra exercises simulating a "week in the life" of an investigative supervisor, supporting leaders to:

Today marks the first National Day for Victims and Survivors of Terrorism, which will be held annually on 21 August.

The day remembers victims of terrorism, pays tribute to survivors and their loved ones, and recognises the lasting impact terrorism has on individuals, families and communities.

Our thoughts are also with the police officers, staff and emergency service colleagues who have responded to attacks, alongside the members of the public who showed courage in helping others during and after these incidents.

The Support Hub provides specialist support for anyone affected by a terrorist incident, at any stage of their recovery. It is available 24 hours a day, online or by phone: https://terrorismsurvivorhub.org.uk/

It covers how AI is being used by offenders, including in fraud, violence against women and girls (VAWG), and cyber-attacks. It sets out how to investigate offences involving AI and when to seek specialist advice, with relevant legislation and guidance throughout.

New authorised professional practice (APP) for stalking or harassment supports a more consistent, victim-centred response, strengthening how forces identify risk early, safeguard victims and manage suspects.

The guidance brings together existing advice into formal APP, setting clearer expectations for how policing should respond at every stage.
