Thank you to everyone who came along today to help us celebrate 30 years of Ryton Pools Country Park. We had a fantastic time sharing this milestone with our visitors, and we look forward to making lots more memories with you for many years to come. Here’s just a tiny glimpse of a wonderful day! 🦋💚

We can’t wait to celebrate with you all tomorrow (27th May) from 10am to 4pm. The weather’s looking warm, so please remember to bring plenty of water and sun cream if you’re joining us.

With the weather warming up, we hope you’re enjoying the opportunity to get outdoors at Warwickshire’s country parks and other green spaces across the county. ☀️🌿

To help keep everyone safe in the sunshine, please keep these reminders in mind:

💧 Bring plenty of drinking water for yourself, children, and dogs.
🌳 Make the most of shaded areas during the hottest parts of the day to avoid overheating.
⚠️ Please don’t enter our lakes, pools, or other bodies of water. Cold water shock can happen even in warm weather, and there are hidden hazards beneath the surface.
🔥 Please don’t light campfires or BBQs. Dry grass can catch fire very quickly, and disposable BBQs damage our habitats.
🚮 Warmer weather can unfortunately bring a rise in anti-social behaviour such as littering and dangerous driving/off-roading. Please be considerate, follow our site guidelines, and don't ruin the experience for yourself and all those around you. Anti-social behaviour can be reported to Warwickshire Police via 101, or 999 if there is an immediate risk to safety.

Happy World Bee Day! 🐝

At Ryton Pools Country Park, we love bees, and we want you to love them as much as we do 💛

We’re proud to have lots of bee species that enjoy the varied habitats found at our park, with 118 species recorded in total (104 recorded last year alone!). This includes every modern Warwickshire bumblebee.

We also tend several beehives that produce our popular Ryton Pools honey 🍯, made from pollen collected from our wildflower meadows.

Bees play a vital role in our ecosystems, pollinating our crops, flowers, fruits and more. 🌍 To help spread the love and get more bee-lievers to join the cause of protecting these essential insects, we hold bee-themed events throughout the year (like our Wild Bee Discovery Day last weekend!).

Our next event will be making Bee Hotels on 9 August 🏡🐝 (details below) – a chance to create a lovely garden feature that provides a safe resting place for solitary bees.

You can also help look after bees by:
🌼 Planting bee-friendly flowers in your garden or window boxes
🚫 Avoiding pesticides where possible
💧 Leaving out water for thirsty bees – use a shallow dish of fresh water with a few pebbles to avoid drowning.
🏡 Creating habitats like bee hotels or leaving areas a little wild

Nearly 100 people joined us for Park Yoga yesterday! Who's joining in next Sunday to help us make the last few spaces? 💚

Thank you to everyone who joined us for Park Yoga this morning 🌿

We were so close to hitting 100 people today…
An amazing 98 people came along to move, breathe, and spend time together outdoors 🙏

Seeing the community continue to grow each week is really special. Whether it was your first session or you’ve been with us since the beginning — thank you for being part of it.

Park Yoga is all about making yoga accessible, welcoming, and inclusive for everyone 💚

If you’ve been enjoying the sessions, help us spread the word and maybe bring a friend along next week. The bigger the community grows, the more special these mornings become 🌳
