Showers will develop today but will be more widespread than yesterday, followed by a cold, wet and windy day tomorrow.

Cloud is gradually bubbling up on the satellite image and we will begin to see clusters and clumps of cloud developing as the day goes on.

πŸ“ Beat Surgery – Cowes Police Station (08/06/2026)

Thank you to everyone who attended yesterday’s Beat Surgery at Cowes Police Station. It was great to see residents coming along to raise local concerns and speak directly with both the Police and the Town Council.

A number of issues were discussed, including:
🚲 Cycling through the High Street, which is not permitted
πŸš— An abandoned vehicle on Park Road, which will be raised with Island Roads

Most importantly, these sessions are about making sure your voices are heard. By working together in a strong partnership – residents, Police, and the Council – we can continue to address local concerns and keep Cowes a safe and welcoming place for everyone.

If you have any issues you’d like to raise, please don’t hesitate to get in touch or attend a future surgery.

Go along to AIM Autism and ADHD Inclusion Matters IOW Task Thursday & Drop in session!
Can't make this one? no worries there will be another session next week! β˜•

You can come and ask questions, browse our Sensory Library, Chat with our Peer Mentors or Come for Task Thursday!

βœ… What is Task Thursday?
Do you have unopened post, uncompleted forms, emails you need to send, schedules and plans you want to complete or any of life’s other demands that feel too overwhelming to get started or finish on your own?

Task Thursday may be the meet for you. It’s a chance to bring in those β€œthings” you just can’t seem to do and get them done!
It is based around the idea of Body Doubling. It is about doing tasks alongside others. It helps people to get motivated to start a task and stay focused for long enough to complete it.

Our Peer Mentors aren’t there to do the task for you, although they will offer support if you need it.

No need to book, just turn up!

On the island IW Met Service - The Isle of Wight Weather Service have seen a few locally heavy showers so far this morning but these will certainly ease......for a time. Tomorrow will see further showers but some places remaining dry.
