North Lurgan Inters Sunday Programme ⚽🍕

Today at North Lurgan Inters, we had a fantastic Sunday programme packed with fun and creativity!
The group got hands-on in the kitchen, making and cooking their own delicious pizzas 🍕, before heading out for some exciting football and plenty of teamwork on the pitch ⚽.

A great day of learning new skills, building friendships, and having lots of fun along the way. Well done to everyone who took part! 👏

🌟 Saturday Night, Positive Conversations & Looking Out for Each Other 🌟

Busy evening out on Detached this evening, with lots of children and young people out enjoying their Saturday night.

We had some great issue-based conversations, checked in with young people, and shared a few reminders about looking after their mates and making safe choices.

It’s always great to see so many young people engaging positively and looking out for one another.

We’ll be back out again tomorrow evening to do it all over again. If you see us out and about, come and say hello!

What a day it was today! ☀️

The Lurgan Inters took part in a social action project, helping to keep Helen's Bay Beach clean with a litter-picking session. 🏖️🗑️

There were plenty of laughs along the way, great teamwork, and lots of hard work put in by everyone. And believe me when I say it — we got absolutely covered in sand! 😂

A huge well done to everyone who got involved and helped make a positive difference to our environment. 🌍💙

☔️Tonight our Detached Team were out in Craigavon chatting with young people and checking in with those outside.

It was great to see so many young people making the most of the dry spells, spending time with friends and enjoying their local parks. 👥🌳

Some great conversations throughout the night and plenty of positive engagement. Looking forward to getting back out again soon! 💬🙌

North Lurgan inters!

This evening, young people took part in a range of acting scenarios, exploring topics such as peer pressure and how to respond to different situations in a different way. One group also enjoyed a scenario of "Guess the DDYWP Worker" 🤔😂, which brought lots of laughs.

We then spent some time brainstorming ideas for future sessions, giving everyone the opportunity to have their say and help shape the group going forward 📝💡

To round off the night, we enjoyed some chips together and had the chance to relax and chat 🍟😊

A big well done to everyone who got involved tonight — your participation, creativity, and ideas made it a brilliant session! 🌟

🎊🎊🎊Another great week with all of the young participants on the PYDP Group.🎊🎊🎊

😃 Tuesday seen the young people finish off the ILM "Inspirated Leadership Management" course with Jennifer from REIM. Thanks so much to the young people and Jennifer for all the hard work getting through the two qualifications called ICDL and ILM. Two really good qualifications setting young people up for more positive destinations!!!

😃 Wednesday seen Leah from Youth Action continued the great work looking at topics young people enjoy discussing and learning about while playing games and challenges. We also had a visit from the Bank of Ireland giving us an input about on-line fraud, scams and tricksters under the BOI "Stop-Think-Check" campaign.

😃 Thursday was a great fun day with Wayne from the Bushcraft centre in Oxford Island. They enjoyed learning archery, having competitions and games, spending time outdoors, and discussing a social action project where young people can help sustain habitats for birds. 🦆🐦🕊🦆

Overall, another fabulous week. 🎊🎊 What will we be doing next week?

🌊🐠 Creative Oceans at Drumgor Detacheds Taghnevan Inters! 🐙🦀

Creating, Exploring, Belonging!

Tonight our young people got creative as part of their ongoing Art & Creative Media Programme, making an amazing collection of colourful sea creatures.

There were lots of messy hands in the glue, plenty of imagination, and even more laughter as everyone worked together to bring their underwater creations to life. From octopuses and fish to crabs and sea monsters, the room was full of creativity and fun!

The best part wasn’t just the fantastic artwork it was the memories made, the friendships strengthened, and the joy of learning through play.

Well done to everyone who got stuck in and made tonight such a success! 🎨✨🐟

🌦️☔🌞 Four seasons in one evening? No problem for the DDYWP Detached Team! 💪😎

With the rain pouring one minute and the sun shining the next, our dedicated team headed out across North Lurgan tonight to connect with young people in the community. 🚶‍♂️🚶‍♀️

It was fantastic to see so many young people out and about enjoying their evening! 🙌 We had some great conversations around 🍎 healthy eating, 🏃‍♂️ exercise, and keeping active while having fun.

Every patrol is a chance to listen, support, and engage with young people where they are. 💙

This afternoon we had our North Lurgan Juniors in for a Challenge Day! 💪🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️

The obstacle courses were everywhere, and the energy was through the roof from start to finish. Everyone gave it their all and showed great determination throughout the session.

A special shoutout to our 4 gold medalists who topped the leaderboard today – fantastic effort! 🥇🥇🥇🥇

Our detached team were out across the Craigavon area tonight, engaging with and supporting young people in the community 🙌

Building positive relationships and ensuring young people's safety remains at the heart of what we do. Throughout the evening, staff were available to offer support, guidance, and a listening ear to any young person who needed it 💙

It was great to see so many young people out and about, enjoying their evening and taking the time to stop for a chat. We are committed to supporting young people in any way we can and helping create safe, positive spaces within our communities.

Looking forward to being back out again soon! 🌟
