✨ HOW LUCKY ARE WE?! ✨📚❤️

Tonight, we had the absolute pleasure of welcoming the lovely Daniela from BBC Radio Ulster to D’cloney Lil Library! 🥹❤️

Daniela reached out a little while ago after coming across our little library and wanting to find out more about what we do. Tonight, she got to meet some of our amazing visitors and wonderful bookclub members, and we all had a good old chat about books, libraries, community, and everything in between! 📚☕️

It was just so lovely to meet Daniela in person and have such a relaxed, genuine chat. 🥰

A massive thank you to everyone who took the time to call down this evening, share your stories, and say such incredibly kind things about the library. Honestly, I think there was a moment or two when I was ready to burst into tears… happy tears, of course! 🥹❤️

Sometimes, when you’re busy doing what you love, you don’t fully appreciate just how special it is until moments like this come along. Seeing people come together, hearing your kind words, and watching this little library continue to grow means more to me than I can ever explain.

From a little box of books to moments like THIS… how lucky are we?! 🥹📚

One little thing, we did forget in all the excitement… to get a photo with EVERYONE in it! 😂📸 A few of our lovely visitors had already headed off by the time we remembered, so unfortunately, we missed our chance for a big group shot. But please know that every single person who came along was part of making tonight so special! ❤️

There now needs to be an independent and completely impartial investigation into how this was able to happen involving such a high-profile politician, and whether opportunities to identify or prevent it were missed along the way.

The ABC Business Internal Improvement Grant Scheme is officially open!
Eligible businesses and commercial property owners can now apply for funding of up to £7,500 to improve and modernise their premises.

Remembering the victims of October 7th

Today, we remember the innocent victims of the October 7th massacre in Israel.

Young people attending the Nova music festival were attacked and murdered simply for being there. Communities in southern Israel, including kibbutzim whose residents had worked for years towards reconciliation and peaceful relations with Palestinians, were subjected to unimaginable violence.

It is also deeply troubling that Gerry Carroll MLA has still not deleted his October 7th post stating, “Victory to the Palestinian Resistance ✊️✊️” - posted as innocent men, women and children were being murdered and taken hostage.

People are entitled to debate their views on Israel and Gaza, and every country is accountable for how it prosecutes its war. But that debate must never obscure or diminish the horror of October 7th, nor the suffering inflicted on its victims and their families.

We remember them. We mourn them. And we must never forget.
