Here at Cranleigh library we're spreading the word with school assemblies, as well as transforming our children's section into something much more colourful and appropriate for a musical extravaganza. See you on Saturday the 4th of July!

It's tomorrow!
After the roaring success of our Mothers' Day cuddle cards, we're bringing them back for the dads! Join us on Saturday the 20th of June and make a sweet and special card for your sweet and special dad.

Ahoy there! Our latest delivery was a doozy (apologies to our poor postman) so we thought we'd give you a sneak peek of our next True and Discover display. So practise your bowlines and get your sea legs ready for nautical adventures and facts about the briny depths!

While this work is not happening during our opening hours we'd like all our early bird and night owl patrons to know that if they want to use our book drop, then there'll be some construction work that will have to be avoided.

22 - 26 JUNE - 5 nights - 20:00-06:00 hrs (excluding weekends -Sun/Sat nights). Finally, new bus stop and shelter being installed near to the library - High Street, Cranleigh.
The work will take place from 22nd to 26th June 2026, for approximately 5 nights There will be a footway closure, and an alternative route will be provided. In addition there will also be a two-way signal for traffic management.

At Cranleigh library it's not very often that we receive exciting packages that aren't full of books, but it happened recently! A certain Workshop in Nottingham that makes Games has sent us a box full of goodies that we'll be using for some events in August so watch this space...

Cut + paste = art!
Our decoupage workshop demonstrated exactly what is possible with some pretty paper and watered-down glue. A big thank you to our volunteer Jane for leading the proceedings, watch this space for the next workshop!

Cranleigh Carnival is the place to be, and we'll be there! Come to our stall for book lucky dip, football-themed children's craft and hook-a-duck, or even just to say hello 😀

Our next adult crafting workshop is tomorrow! You can learn or perfect the art of decoupage. Breathe new life into something old with nothing more than paper, glue, and a little bit of patience. Please bring your own item, we do have a few that can be used but in very limited number.
