This is a fan page to give information about our stunning and picturesque cottage in Shropshire and encourage more guests to come and stay. There is nothing but rolling hills, farms, fields and countryside for miles in every direction
Our cottage itself has 3 bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs (2 x double beds and 1 x bunk bed) with large fitted kitchen, dining table and cosy sitting area downstair
s. We have a garden to the rear, but the real fun comes in exploring the local hills of which there are many great ones to climb within walking distance. In Spring and Summer the scenery is just glorious and the cottage is perfect for lounging around in the sun and taking in the countryside. During Winter it's a totally different but equally enjoyable experience - having cosy nights in by the log fire enjoying of the plethora of odd 80s board games and taking advantage of the excellent choice of local pubs for great food and drinking. There is much to explore in the local area including the famous medieval town of Ludlow (complete with fantastic castle and several 15th century pubs). The hiking or cross country running is also excellent with a range of hills for every ability. There's even a michelin starred chef living in a farm just up the road who cooks incredible home cooked meals to order for nights in with restaurant quality food. It's been in our family since 1989 so we may be biased, but to us, it's the most peaceful spot in the country and we can't recommend it enough for any get away. Be it a romantic long weekend, a week's holiday with kids, a weekend destination for good friends to enjoy each others company and food or even a quiet retreat for people who want to gather their thoughts. We want guests to enjoy the cottage as much as we do so we only charge nominal rates of Β£30 per person per night (half price for kids) as a contribution towards rates and running costs etc - cheaper even than a youth hostel! Takes around 3 1/2 hours in a car from London or under 1 1/2 hours from Birmingham. Whilst it is possible to get there by train we recommend only going by car as its 2 miles to the nearest shop (but it is an amazing supermarket!!)
