This week we are submitting a bid for grant funding ro deal with a leaking roof in the main part of the Village Centre building. It will be some months before we get to know if we have succeeded so say a prayer or cross your fingers for us.

If we get it there will be a little disruption while the work goes on but the Centre will remain open.

We are always grateful for the help from people who make donations for our food bank, both in kind and financial.

This week we received two huge bags of essentials from the Beavers of the 38th Scouts. They had been shopping at Tesco as part of their learning about money and were keen to get value for money. They hand over 78 items for less than £40 so we think they passed that test!

The items left on our doorstep were equally well
thought out; we always need sauces and meat pastes. So once again a huge thank you to all our donors. It makes such a difference for struggling families.

Did you know that we have a knitting/crocheting group that meet at The Village Centre?New faces are always welcome!
