The Folklore Library and Archive's next monthly Folklore Friday social gathering will be on Friday 6th November, at 7pm, in Clover’s, 100 High Street, Crediton.

This month's talks will be about the history of Halloween, with a particular focus on Devon and Cornwall, and Vampires from different cultures around the world.

We're looking forward to hosting the excellent Dr James Wright on Monday 12 October at Crediton Library. Part of his book tour for his latest title 'The Buildings Archaeologist', James will be discussing some of the fascinating buildings he's worked on. He's an excellent and entertaining speaker who knows his subject inside out, so get your ticket now - £10 from our Eventbrite page (link in comments).
