Irek Kryczka 'Putting Crewe First' Member of the Putting Crewe First Party. Irek Kryczka was born in Rzeszow, Poland and moved to UK after graduating AGH in Cracow, PL in 2007.

Irek was always active in various student’s organisations from primary school, through high school and university. The Crewe is where I live for the past 11 years hence the local politics and changes are very important to me. Looking at the negative changes that are happening here at the moment, I can’t stand by – I have to act for the improvements. My daughter is attending Shavington Academy now

so we would like to see more spending in education and sport for teenagers in Crewe. I am working in the Railway industry and the Crewe played a major part in development of this vital mass-transport in UK. The role of Crewe should be appreciated more and the rail heritage exposed more to the local and wider community. As a Polish citizen I would aim to integrate more the European community with the local English one. Parts of our history is intertwined with England eg: the great input of polish pilots during battle of Britain. We should cherish the things that are connecting us and build strong local community despite of language barrier.
