Cheshire East Council has launched its new Local Transport Plan, its long-term vision for how people will move around the borough and how the Council will invest in transport in the years ahead. The Labour-led administration is proud of its green and community focused policies, and welcomes the extra funding Labour in government has provided to improve both road maintenance and active travel programmes.

The new transport plan will boost the economy by providing stronger, better connected networks, whilst reducing the environmental impact and making travel more accessible for everyone.

The UK Government has announced plans to ban social media platforms from providing their services to under 16s.

This means:
📵 Less time scrolling
🌳 More time to play and grow
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 More power in parents’ hands

Backed by 9 in 10 parents, this marks a decisive step to creating a safer online space for children, and giving them the childhood they deserve.
