In its 140-odd years, our four-bedroomed house only changed hands once each generation. That indicates the special place it has held in the hearts of all owners. On the south-facing clifftop road past Criccieth Castle and above the beach, on the coast of Tremadoc / Porthmadog / Cardigan Bay (take your pick). Our old home was a fantastic place for family and friends, close to all the amenities and

glories of Snowdonia and the Lleyn Peninsula, were truly blessed for 39 years. It's with a heavy heart we say goodbye to the “big house on the beach next to the castle in Wales”.

Hundreds of "stunningly beautiful" blue sea creatures have washed up along the coastline. They are called By the Wind Sailors (Velella) and yes, they do sting. However it is a relatively mild sting, unlike a Portuguese Man o' War (Physalia physalis) so don't worry too much about them. However any sting can cause an allergic reaction which is potentially more serious. It is probably advisable to warn children not to touch them and to seek medical attention if there is a severe reaction. NHS advice: see the link in the comments
