It’s hard to believe it’s nearly two weeks since Cromer RNLI Lifeboat Day — but what a day it was! ⚓🌊☀️

With the sun shining and Cromer full of people, we were delighted to welcome so many of you to enjoy the day, meet our crews and volunteers and show your support for the RNLI.

And we’re thrilled to say that, thanks to your incredible generosity, over £3,500 was raised! 🙌

Every penny will help support the lifesaving work of the RNLI and the crews who are always ready to answer the call.

A huge thank you once again to everyone who came along, donated and supported us, and to the amazing volunteers who worked so hard before, during and after the event to make it such a success.

Here are a few more photographs from the day from our volunteer Kate 💙

Thank you for making it such a brilliant day! ⚓

☀️ WHAT A DAY! 💙

A huge thank you to everyone who came along to Cromer RNLI Lifeboat Day on Sunday.

We were so lucky with the weather and it was fantastic to see so many people enjoying the day, visiting the lifeboat stations, watching the rescue demonstrations and supporting the RNLI 💙

A huge thank you to all our volunteers who worked so hard to make the day such a success, and to our fundraising Guild, who did a fantastic job supporting the planning of the day, and running the stalls.

Thank you too to HM Coastguard, Coastwatch, the Marine Police and our lifeguards for being part of the day.

We were also delighted to welcome our colleagues from RNLI Happisburgh Lifeboat who joined us for the boat display with their D class lifeboat. ⚓

And of course, thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the day so memorable.

Here are a few lovely photographs from the boat display, taken by one of our volunteers. 📸

Working together to keep people safe 🌊

On Saturday evening, our inshore lifeboat was tasked by the Coastguard following a concern raised about a swimmer in the water off Sheringham, after they were spotted by the lifeguard team on duty.

Our lifeboat crew responded, but by the time they arrived the swimmer was safely ashore.

Our volunteer Helm, Kevin, said: “Our lifeguards do a fantastic job keeping watch from the beach and this was a good example of the different services working to help keep people safe. If anyone has concerns about someone in the water they should never hesitate to call 999 and ask for the coastguard."

As we enjoy the summer by the coast, remember to choose a lifeguarded beach where possible, know your flags and understand the risks before entering the water.

For more advice on staying safe at the beach, visit the RNLI website:
