gage in fun and active social activities; get involved in the community; have the chance to try new experiences; learn new skills both for life and work; but above all feel a valued part of society while enjoying life to the full.

Cromer Crab & Lobster Festival 🦀🦞 surfboard auction is this Sunday 30th Aug Cromer Pier & Pavilion Theatre at 12:30pm with crabbing registration & competition from 9:30am! 🦀

About With Friends: Building Confidence, Skills and Community Connections

Today I met with Giles, Volunteer Co-ordinator at About With Friends in Cromer, to learn more about their incredible work supporting adults with learning disabilities across the local area.

The organisation provides opportunities for members to build confidence, develop new skills and become active in their communities. From catering in the North Lodge Park Café and Bistro and the council canteen to woodworking, crafts and other hands-on activities, members are supported to grow their independence and explore their interests.

Later this year, we're hoping to welcome a group of members to our Cromer Co-op store to help them gain confidence shopping independently and learn how Co-op Membership can help them save money through member prices and exclusive deals.

It was inspiring to hear about the positive impact About With Friends is having and to explore ways we can work together in the future. And yes... I couldn't resist buying a crocheted cauliflower, now proudly named Connie, who will be joining me on the Live Locals roadshow! 🥦😊
