Donate to Hertfordshire Libraries

It’s now easy to donate online to the library service by visiting our website. We are often offered donations of money by users who wish to show their appreciation for the service. Now you can also support the library service by donating online. Hertfordshire Libraries are a universal and free service to the community. Your decision to donate is an entirely volun

tary one. We ask that you donate only as much as you feel comfortable with. You may want to consider either a one-off payment or more frequently.

100% of each donation goes directly to Hertfordshire Libraries and is used to maintain and enhance our services. https://www.hertfordshire.gov.uk/librarydonations

Can you believe that this year’s Summer Reading Challenge starts just 2 weeks from today?

The Reading Agency has partnered with Universal Music Group UK for this year’s fantastic theme, ‘Read to the Beat’🎵

The challenge is designed for children of all ages and all they need to take part is their own library card. If your child isn’t a library member, you can sign them up for free by visiting your local library.

For eager readers, you can reserve books free of charge for children ahead of the challenge. Just visit the Hertfordshire Libraries catalogue or use our app:

Our Baby Rhyme Times run every Tuesday from 10:30 to 11:00. They're a great opportunity to spend some time bonding with your little one, sing some rhymes and meet other parents with young children.

The sessions are free to attend, although we have a limited capacity so make sure you arrive a little early to guarantee yourself a spot.
