Following his excellent presentation on the Cullompton Workhouse last autumn, Art returns to explore the lives of the poor in Georgian Cullompton.

The last meeting featuring talks on the Roman Villa dig at Sampford Peverell was extremely well attended and they hope to bring more follow-up presentations soon.

🌍💚 What an AMAZING morning! 💚🌍

With a very last-minute call out, our incredible volunteers stepped up and joined us for a spontaneous litter pick along Millennium Way this morning and WOW did they collect 💪✨

Together, we collected a whopping 30.1kg of waste and recycling! 🗑️♻️
This is the equivalent to 60 bags of sugar all removed from our local environment in just over an hours session!

A huge thank you to our volunteers this morning who showed up at short notice. Millennium Way is looking so much better thanks to you! 🌿🌞

Now the drier weather is upon us, if you’d like to get involved next time, please get in touch to be added to our contact list.
We will be arranging a weekend litter pick soon💚

We are deeply saddened to share that the trees recently planted by the St Andrews primary school children in Upcott Field have been vandalised.

To have this act of vandalism undo their hard work is truly disheartening.

We know this news will be upsetting to many residents, especially the children who took such pride in taking part.

📸 Cullompton Photography Competition Winner Announcement 📸

A huge thank you to everyone who submitted a photo of Cullompton during the recent stretch of rather awful weather!
🌧️ Despite the grey skies, we received some absolutely fantastic entries that really captured beautiful days around Cullompton.

After much deliberation, we’re delighted to announce our favourites:

🥇 1st Place: Daisy - Knowle Lane
🥈 2nd Place: Jessica - CCA Fields
🥉 3rd Place: Jayde - Culm Lea

👏 Highly Commended:
• Alison – CCA the Leat
• Jessica - Fore Street

The rest are submissions sent in that were incredible - the decision was hard but we are so thankful for everyone who did take the time to send in their pictures!

As well as celebrating our winners, we also wanted to share a selection of the many wonderful entries we received. The response was brilliant, and so many of the photos deserved to be seen and enjoyed by the wider community.

Thank you again to everyone who took part, it was wonderful to see Cullompton from so many different perspectives.

We look forward to running this again in the future!
