East Ayrshire Council page Policy**

To ensure that our page remains a clear, useful and enjoyable resource for everyone, we have established the following policies:

**Bullying behaviour**

We welcome and will engage in constructive discussion and criticism, but we will not tolerate any form of aggressive or bullying behaviour on our page towards our staff or other users. If any

member of our page feels that they are being bullied via the page, please contact us at [email protected]
Examples of bullying behaviour can include:

* Derogatory remarks
* Rude or aggressive posts or comments
* Insensitive jokes and pranks
* Insulting or aggressive behaviour
* Inappropriate public criticism

If aggressive behaviour or bullying persists after a private warning, we will remove any offending posts or comments and report such behaviour to Facebook. This behaviour may also result in a permanent ban from our page. We will not tolerate any discrimination against anyone on the grounds of their race, colour, nationality, religion, ethnic or national origins, sexual orientation, disability or age.

**Moderation**

We reserve the right to remove content posted on the wall at our discretion. We will also not accept repetitive posts or posts that we consider not to be relevant in the context of the page (spamming). We will delete posts which infringe the copyright of third-party websites (by posting an entire news article, for example). We will also remove comments which stray to a considerable degree off-topic, in order to ensure a proper discussion can take place on a given subject. We are a politically neutral organisation and will have to delete any comments which show a political bias. We will not participate, encourage or condone any behaviour that is illegal, dangerous or offensive to other people and we will remove links to websites or other sites that express views counter to what East Ayrshire Council is trying to achieve or which go beyond the boundaries of normal debate by being offensively derogatory. If this behaviour persists after a warning then we reserve the right to ban individuals from the page. We apologise to the few people who may not meet criteria for having their contributions published – it’s not personal but our main aim is to have discussions without anyone feeling that they are being attacked. If your comment has not been published please consider these points and resubmit your comment respecting these guidelines. Please do not post personal details including address or PIN number on the page.

**Photography**

Consent is gathered for all images used on this page. If you would like us to remove an image of yourself or a family member please email [email protected].
