Whessoe Parish Hall Whessoe Parish Hall is owned by the local community and run by Whessoe Parish Council. The meetings generally start at 7 p.m.

We want the Hall to be used as a social hub for local people and we have lots of classes and social events happening Whessoe Parish Council aims to maintain effective communication with local residents about how we conduct business and the use of our community building. Meetings of Whessoe Parish Council usually take place every two months (January, March, May, July, September and November) on Mondays in Whessoe Village Hall and are held in public. Please see The Parish Council and Meetings page for the dates of the meetings, or the noticeboard outside the Parish Hall. If you have any questions to raise with us, please come along and air your concerns; otherwise please contact the Parish Clerk. Agendas and minutes of all meetings and the policies of the Parish Council can also be found on the Agendas, Minutes and Documents page of the website. The Annual Financial Statement has a page devoted to it. The website outlines the Parish Hall facilities, the hiring charges and how the hall can be hired. If you’re reading this, please share as widely as you can.

A bunch of ladies from Darlington Divas WI - including 2 of your Parish Councillors (!) - have very bravely decided to bare (almost) all to pull together a Calendar along the lines of the famous ‘Calendar Girls’ one. Every penny raised will go to the Darlington Women’s Refuge, who do amazing work with vulnerable women.

None of us were particularly comfortable doing this - we’re all of a ‘certain age’! But we put fear to one side in aide of this great cause.

We’ve done the photoshoot and we’re so proud of how it’s going to look! I’ve added a couple teasers here without spoiling the final results or embarrassing anyone.

We need as many of you to buy a calendar as possible. They’ll be available from mid September at £10 each.

Darlington Divas WI are baring all (well, almost!) for a brilliant cause 😄 Inspired by the iconic Calendar Girls, we’re producing our own charity calendar to raise vital funds for Darlington Women’s Refuge.
