The Parish Assembly is now only 4 days away.

Also a chance for locals to catch up with one another.

A lot of work has gone into this one and we would really appreciate if parishioners could pop in 🙏.

A note of thanks and appreciation for Geoffrey Crute

Neasham Parish Council would like to place on record our sincere thanks to Geoffrey Crute, who has recently resigned from the Council after a decade of dedicated service to Neasham.

Over the past ten years Geoffrey has provided invaluable advice, guidance and experience helping to support the work of the Council and the wider Neasham community. His knowledge and steady counsel have been greatly appreciated by fellow councillors past and present.

We are very grateful for the time and care he has given to the role and we wish him all the very best for the future.

The process to fill the vacancy has now begun and we expect to be in a position to co-opt a new councillor; returning the Council to a full board.

Thank you once again Geoffrey 👏

We have been busy making Neasham a better place to live!

Speed signs are up.

Not only are they considered the most effective design but they can also collate data which allows us to monitor average speeds, top speeds, number of vehicles and times when vehicles travel through the village. This will be beneficial should we need to escalate the issue of speeding or in providing evidence for any incidents which may lead to accidents.

Dropped kerbs.

DBC are in the process of completing work to the dropped kerbs in the village. The work will lower the kerbs to a level much more equal to the road. The result of this will be increased accessibility for those in wheelchairs and Motability Scooters who up until now have had to use parts of the road rather than the paths. NPC wants to ensure all paths are accessible and usable to all.
