A partnership of public, private and voluntary bodies which coordinates activities, appropriate to a city region level, designed to improve the economic performance of the entire Tees Valley. Brilliant to see former Tees Valley Artists of the Year continuing to achieve national recognition and build on the support they've received through the programme🌟

Former winner Will Hughes has been selected for New Contemporaries 2027, one of the UK's most respected showcases for emerging contemporary artists👏 🖼️

Meanwhile, Amelia Coburn has announced her new album, Myself and Other Monsters, alongside major live dates including performances at the Royal Albert Hall and Stockton's Georgian Theatre 🎤

And 2025 winner Lisette Auton continues to go from strength to strength, securing a new two-book deal with Macmillan Children's Books and inspiring audiences across the country 📚

Through Artists of the Year, we're helping our ambitious creatives access the funding, mentoring and opportunities they need to take the next step in their careers 🎭

As we continue to grow our reputation as a place where creativity thrives, it's fantastic to see local artists making their mark on regional, national and international stages 🌍

Great to see work begin on another key phase of Hartlepool’s £18.5m Screen Industries Production Village, with improvements now underway on Scarborough Street 🎬

Led by Hartlepool Borough Council, and delivered in partnership with North East Screen, The Northern School of Art and TVCA, the project is vital in building on Hartlepool’s strength in film, television and digital production 📺

The project is supported by the £15m expansion of the Northern Studios funded by TVCA through the Tees Valley Investment Zone 🏗️

As our region continues to grow its reputation across the screen industries, this investment will help attract productions, create high-quality jobs, develop local talent and drive further regeneration 🎞️

Backed by a £40,000 Tees Valley Innovation Voucher, the team is progressing its digital platform – helping make high-quality training more accessible, trackable and easier for surgeons to use wherever they are 👩‍⚕️

Led by Teesside University as part of the Tees Valley Investment Zone, the voucher programme is giving ambitious local businesses the support they need to test ideas, build new products and accelerate towards commercial launch 📈

The UK’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Stephen Hitchen has visited Tees Valley to find out more about the major opportunities here for international investment and trade.

The Ambassador took a tour of the region, including Teesworks, and spoke to leading businesses and investors such as Alfanar.

The visit showcased Tees Valley on the international stage and helped strengthen connections to attract further investment and create opportunities for local businesses. Many thanks to the Ambassador and his colleagues for their visit.

New hubs in Middlesbrough and Hartlepool will give businesses access to the space, specialist facilities and shared technology they need to innovate, grow and create more local jobs 🎬

They form part of our £160million Investment Zone – expected to support more than 2,000 jobs and unlock up to £175million of investment over the next decade
