Have you been impacted by the Mobile outage this week? We know coverage was still really poor in the town centre today.

Nothing from the Council or our MP, at least Peter Gibson cares about the issue 👇👇

⛔️ Were you impacted by the outage this week?

⛔️ Did your business suffer as a result?

We all rely on connectivity for our devices, and the reports of the outages this week are very troubling particularly for our already beleaguered town centre businesses.

Action needs to be taken, and whilst we’ve seen little action or no action from either our Council or indeed the current MP someone needs to do something.

What are Darlington Labour trying to hide 🤔

A key meeting was held today, Darlington Conservatives called in a hugely unpopular decision to build Council houses on a well loved green space on Sparrowhall Drive in Whinfield.

A site which under the Conservative Council we refused to sell to a developer or allow the Council to build on. As it’s Council land only the ruling group can make that decision, something the Labour group has been more than happy to sign off.

The aim of today’s “Call in” was to provide transparency for residents and ensure the Labour Council had considered all options before making its decision.

However….

A key piece of information we requested was withheld without explanation.

These hidden away documents would have explained what information Labour supposedly considered and when in black and white.

So why did they lock them away?

What else is being hidden from Councillors and the public?

The Darlington Nurses are incredibly brave.

I welcomed Bethany and Annice from the Darlington Nursing Union to Yarm to discuss their fight for women’s rights.

They have campaigned tirelessly to protect single-sex changing facilities and to ensure women's privacy and dignity are respected in the workplace.

Thank you for sharing your experiences and for the principled stand you have taken. Everyone deserves to feel safe and comfortable at work, and it's important that their voices are heard.
