Riverside customers please be aware ⬇️

⚠️ United Utilities emergency works in Lower Darwen

We've just been notified that United Utilities needs to carry out emergency repairs following a burst water pipe, which is affecting water supplies to local homes and businesses.

🚦 Temporary traffic lights will be in place on the busy roundabout connecting Fore Street, Duchess Street and Swan Farm Close, near the One Stop shop. This will impact on traffic in that area.

The lights are due to be installed this evening and are expected to remain in place tomorrow (Tuesday) morning.

🚗 Please consider using an alternative route if possible and allow extra time for your journey.

We don't yet know how long the emergency works will take, but we'll share further updates as soon as we receive them from United Utilities.

Our brand-new 10-week swimming term starts this week at Splash, and we currently have availability across a range of classes! 🎉

Whether your little one is taking their first splash in the water or is ready to develop their swimming skills, we have something for everyone:

👶 Splash Babies – introduce your baby to the water in a fun, relaxed environment and build confidence from an early age.

🐳 Little Splashers – fun-filled lessons for little ones aged 1–3yr helping develop water confidence, movement and essential early swimming skills.

🦆 Pre-School Swimming – fantastic preparation for starting school, developing independence, confidence and those all-important swimming skills.

🏅 Stage Lessons – structured lessons for school-age children, helping them progress through their swimming stages, improve technique and become stronger, safer swimmers.

Swimming is so much more than just a lesson! It helps children to:
