As Mayor of Daventry, I’m delighted to invite you, your family and friends to a very special performance of 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑰𝒅𝒍𝒆 𝑾𝒐𝒎𝒆𝒏 𝒐𝒇 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑾𝒂𝒓𝒕𝒊𝒎𝒆 𝑾𝒂𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒘𝒂𝒚𝒔 on Saturday 24 October.

This fascinating one-woman show tells the remarkable story of the courageous women who took to the canals during the Second World War, keeping vital supplies moving while Britain was at war. It promises to be an entertaining, moving and memorable evening.

This year, the event will take place on 𝗦𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝟯𝟭𝘀𝘁 𝗢𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 (𝗛𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗻) to avoid clashing with Remembrance events, as both would otherwise fall on the same weekend. That means we're bringing you a 𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗼𝗸𝘁𝗮𝗰𝘂𝗹𝗮𝗿 fireworks display, so come along and celebrate Halloween with us!

Community and voluntary groups across West Northants can now apply for grants of £1,000 to £7,500 through our new Neighbourhood Fund.

The fund will support projects and services that respond to local priorities and help improve health and wellbeing, strengthen communities and make a positive difference for local people.

🌟 What a wonderful day we had on Saturday at my Mayoral Civic Service! 🌟

Daventry Town Council and I hosted an event to celebrate my term in office and raise funds for my two nominated charities: Daventry Town Community Pantry and Demcafe.

I was delighted to be joined by civic dignitaries from across the county, alongside my family. Also in attendance were Deputy Lord-Lieutenant of Northamptonshire, John Brownhill BEM, High Sheriff of Northamptonshire, Roger Butler and Stuart Andrew for Daventry who were all generous with their support and time.

🙏 A big thank you to Assistant Priest Kim McCloghry for the lovely service at Holy Cross Church, Church Reader Angela Squire, Working Men's Club for the kind use of their facilities, and Cater Lady for her excellent catering services.

🙏 Thank you to everyone who attended and supported these important causes!

📸I I was delighted to chat and get a photo with the Young Mayor of Daventry, West Northamptonshire Council Youth Cllr Laila, at my Civic Service on Saturday.

🌟 Laila is a fantastic representative for our town and does an amazing job supporting, developing and engaging our community. She was joined on Saturday by fellow Daventry Youth Council member Finley, and Sarah from Youth Inspired- Clubs for Young People Northamptonshire

Together, they are incredible advocates for inspiring young people to achieve their full potential.
