Oh what a day we had meeting all who came to the car wash!

A massive thank-you to everyone who cane along with their vehicles.

Thanks to YOU we have raised an astonishing approximate £1140 for the Fire Fighters Charity.

Thank-you everyone for visiting us and we can only apologise for the Flames dance moves on Exeter Road, although we did hear they were Fire 🔥👀

Once again, thank you Dawlish and the surrounding areas for supporting us!

We’re raising money for the Fire Fighters Charity so any donations are welcome!

Please remember we are holding the Car Wash at the Fire Station this year so, please be mindful of parking as we are operational throughout the day!

Whilst heading back to station following an Alarm Residential call our crews were re-mobilised to reports of a fire in the woodland at Mamhead.

Once on scene our crews were met by the Forestry Commission who quickly gave our crews an es**rt to the incident using the built in fire roads.

Once crews had been led to the location they set about extinguishing the fire that was involving a small area of undergrowth at the base of some trees.

Crews used a Hose Reel Het, drag forks and a shovel to extinguish the fire, we then utilised the Thermal Imaging Camera to ensure there was no further Fire spread.

The cause of the fire was undetermined but believed to be accidental.

With just a week to go until our car-wash we thought we’d answer some of your questions.

📆On Saturday the 30th, our crew are holding the annual Charity car wash raising money for the Fire Fighters Charity.

📍 We’ll be holding the car wash at Dawlish Fire Station.

⏰ Our crew will be on station from 10:00 - 14:30

💷 We’ll be raising money through cash donations, as well as contactless payments.

🚒 Bring along the whole family and we’re more than happy to show the kids around the Fire Engine and speak to you all about being an On-Call Firefighter.

🚗🚐🚛🚜🏍️🚲 Lastly, bring along your car, Van, Bike, Truck, you bring it, we’ll wash it!

Firefighters Dan and Byron from Dawlish have just completed the National 3 Peaks Challenge with 17 other lads from Teignmouth RFC Vets. They climbed Ben Nevis in Scotland, Scafell Pike in England and Snowdon in Wales back to back raising money for Cancer Research UK, Alzheimer's Society and Wooden Spoon. They have raised an incredible amount. Well done chaps 👏
