Breakfast time for Bert and Kimba’s youngsters 🐣🌿

The cygnets were fully focused this morning, tucking into every bit of greenery they could find. You can really see how much they’re changing now, less tiny fluffball, more growing young swan with a serious appetite.

Still plenty of squeaks, still plenty of charm, and definitely no food being left behind.

It’s lovely to see all five doing so well and getting stronger by the day.

Right then, little morning challenge for you…

How many black swans are actually in this photo? 🦢🖤

Be warned, this is less “wildlife photography” and more “black swan Where’s Wally”.

Answers in the comments, bonus points if you can work out which one is photobombing.

Breakfast time on the brook… and nobody is missing a crumb 🐣🌿

The cygnets were in full eating mode this morning, watched closely by Bert and Kimber. You can definitely see why they’re getting so chunky now.

Tiny squeaks, tiny beaks, and a very serious commitment to clearing every last bit of food.

At this rate, they’ll be putting in their own lettuce order by next week 🥬😂

A quiet little moment from yesterday morning 🐣🌿

The cygnets were resting and feeding down at the lower end of the brook, making the most of that peaceful part of the day before the town starts to wake up.

Just soft light, gentle grazing, little squeaks, and five growing youngsters taking it easy.

These are the simple brook moments we love.

We’re live from the Black Swan Cam this morning, hosted by The Beach Bar 🖤🐣

The five cygnets are growing fast now, and we’ll be keeping the camera on them as they paddle, feed, squeak, and generally keep Kimba busy.

They’re starting to look more like young swans each day, with their proper feathers coming through and plenty of character on show.

Bert and Kimba are close by as always, keeping watch over the family while the little ones get on with the serious business of eating and exploring.

Come and enjoy a gentle bit of brook life with us, and let us know where you’re watching from today 👇

The cygnets are changing fast now 🐣

I took these earlier in the week, and you can really see their proper feathers starting to come through. They’re still fluffy, still squeaky, and still very cute… but they’re beginning to look a little more grown-up each time we see them.

It’s amazing how quickly they change at this stage.

One minute they’re tiny balls of fluff, the next they’re looking like young swans in training.

Lovely to see all five continuing to grow well 💙

We’re live from the this morning 🖤🐣

Today we’re focused on Kimba and the five young cygnets, who are getting chunkier by the day and enjoying a proper grass breakfast.

They’re at that brilliant stage now where it’s mostly eating, squeaking, wandering about, and then eating again. Kimba is close by keeping watch, while the little ones get stuck into the important business of growing.

Come and enjoy a peaceful bit of brook life with us, and let us know where you’re watching from today 👇

All present and correct… almost 😂🐣

Bert at the front, Kimba bringing up the rear, and the cygnets doing their best attempt at a perfectly organised march.

Add a bit of quirky music, and suddenly we’ve got the Dawlish Cygnet Parade in full swing.

Left, right, squeak.
Left, right, snack.
Left, right… someone’s gone the wrong way again 😄

Getting your cygnets in a row is clearly harder than it looks.

Five little lawn mowers hard at work yesterday morning 🐣🌿

The cygnets were all tucked into the long grass, happily feeding away and enjoying every mouthful.

They’re filling out so quickly now, and you can really see their confidence growing each day. Still fluffy, still squeaky, but definitely getting chunkier by the week.

A lovely quiet moment with all five together, doing what cygnets do best… eating, eating, and then eating a bit more 😄
