So tomorrow I join another ship as a guest speaker for a cruise to Norway, but the beauty is the ship leaves and returns to Dover, so no flying this time and a ten minute drive to the docks! At the moment I am only scheduled to give one talk, which naturally will be ‘The Band That Went To War’, but I have a couple of spares if needed. I do like being at sea, especially with a function to perform.

Good morning people, I thought I would share with you that the band that went war is going on tour again, this time on another cruise ship The Aurora. Five presentations in 10 days along with the book signing is not a bad return for my time and a good way to spread the news of the bands great work or there’s many years ago in the south Atlantic !

As valued followers of this page and my book, I try not to pester with constant updates unless there is news. Well, as it happens there is news, as the publishers have agreed demand is such that the book is soon to be released as an audio book. It does appear many people like to 'listen' to a good book whilst doing other things and it also opens up the book to the blind, so good news all around!

Thanks for checking out my page, especially those who I recently met giving my talks aboard the Queen Victoria cruise ship. If any of the new followers would like signed copies of any of my books for themselves, friends or relatives then just drop me a message and I can arrange that. The two books that are relevant to this page are 'The Band That Went To War' about my time in the Falklands war; and 'Royal Marines musicians at war' which tells of the many other non musical military deployments of RM musicians over the years, both according to the reviews pretty good to read!

I am getting some wonderful feedback and reviews from people who have read these books and who have loved. I even got a grudgingly worded plaudit from someone who was bought the first book and did not expect to enjoy it saying 'it was not his usual kind of thing', but he loved it so much he has now bought the second book! I will be at the Royal Marines Concert at the Albert Hall over the 21-22 March weekend signing books on their shop stand, so come and say hello if you are attending.

A happy new year to fans of my books. The latest one [Royal Marines Musicians At War] is doing very well and has been well received by those who have read it. What is very gratifying is the people who trusted me with their stories and history, all seem happy with the way I have condensed and narrated their story. If anyone wants a personally signed copy then message me and I can arrange that.
Will i write another book? Well I have some ideas but first we have to get through this years annual charity panto at the Astor theatre in Deal!
